Hello! It’s the end of another month and time to share my October 2020 favorites with you. Some of these things may be organizing related and some of them may fall into other categories. I just love sharing all the things with you that are making me happy. And the funny thing is I never know what I’m going to include until I sit down to write this post and pretend that we are in the same room having tea together :). So with that in mind, don’t leave me having a one sided conversation. I also want you to share with me your monthly favorites too. Let’s go!
OCTOBER 2020 FAVORITES
*I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post. All products shown were purchased by me unless otherwise noted.*
Currently Eating:
I found another new Paleo treat and it’s absolutely delicious! Whether you eat Paleo or not, these little chocolate mint cookies are delightful. I need to put in another order with Natura Market immediately (not sponsored). I love finding new treats to eat.
Currently Loving:
Three things fall into my loving category this month. For starters are these awesome blue light blocking reading glasses. Yep I need reading glasses but I also wanted to try glasses that filtered the blue light from screens. These ones from Amazon do both. And they are floral so what’s not to love? Although if floral isn’t your thing, don’t worry we can still be friends :). They also offer other color options as well. So far they are working great!
Next on my loving list is my new composter for my kitchen counter. I had an open container that I was previously using but I didn’t love seeing (and smelling) my garbage. That got old quick. So I bought the Bamboozle Food Composter after being influenced by Jillian Harris. Its got a carbon filter on the top that keeps the smell in and it’s cute too :).
As for an organizing favorite, spring loaded drawer dividers are the best and are perfect for sock and underwear drawers. I use them to divide regular socks and sport socks as well as in my bra and underwear drawers. They are spring loaded so they work for all drawer sizes and allow you to utilize the entire drawer for your stuff. Bins work too but they will often not maximize the space if they don’t fit exactly right. Do you have these in your drawers?
CURRENTLY planning:
Christmas! Yes I said it. I am currently planning Christmas. In October. Because I don’t like to be stressed in December. So I’ve started ordering Christmas gifts online and have already finished making my friend gifts. I like to make them a little something each year. Two years ago I did little sleigh ornaments. Last year I crocheted dish cloths and this year I’m doing something a little different again but still homemade.
Here’s the process I use to get my Christmas crafts done.
I’ll share what I made this year soon but it might ruin the surprise for my friends that read my blog. I will tell you that I’m pretty excited about it. I did a trial run earlier in the year and was just tickled about how it all turned out.
Something I’m currently planning for YOU this season is a brand new free 2020 Christmas Planner. I’ve got a few more touches to put on it but I hope to have it out within the next two weeks because the time to get organized for the holiday season is now! Here’s a little sneak peek for you. Stay tuned!
Coming Soon!
Currently Watching:
This month, when Amazon Prime Days were going on, I signed up for the 30 day Amazon Prime free trial. Imagine my surprise when I found out that all six seasons of Parenthood are on Prime Video. You guys, this show falls into at least my top five of all time favorites series that I’ve ever watched. I love the Braverman family so much!! So of course I had to start watching it all over AGAIN. And at the risk of sounding crazy, I’ll tell you that as soon as I heard the theme song start up I teared right up. It was like seeing long lost family. And now I’m full on immersed in the show again and I can’t be stopped. Seriously so good. The series finale is one of the best ones I’ve ever seen and I cried big fat ugly tears over it.
Currently Purging:
I donated a huge purge pile this month and it’s all thanks to my youngest son. He doesn’t love to part with his things but he is currently in the process of changing rooms in the house and I think he just decided he’d rather part with it than move it up a flight of stairs, ha! So proud of him because many of these things he hasn’t used in years but I knew he’d do it when he was ready.
What have you been purging this past month?
Currently ORGANIZING:
So as I mentioned above we are switching up some rooms in the house which is a pretty big job. My middle son is moving back home for awhile so are getting ready for his return. We aren’t quite done yet but almost there.
The one thing I was really excited to share with you in October is how I organize all those random cords, cables and chargers. I love my system so much. If you missed that post I would love it if you would pop on over and give it a read. Let me know if you set something up similar in your own home.
My Amazon Store:
If anyone is wondering about organizing products and wanting to see more of my favorites, you’ll be happy to know that I’ve got them all together in one place. Check them all out right HERE in my Amazon shop. So many glorious things! And I’ve added quite a few new items this past month.

I’ve been getting a good start on Christmas too and it feels great! I’m now trying to purge as much as possible going into the holidays. We took quite a few clothes to the donation center last week, my husband finally went through his dresser and closet, yay!!

That’s fantastic! It’s such a great feeling getting that done!

I’m not sure this is how it is suppose to work but all your links take to me a duplicate of the page I was on, as opposed to directly to the Amazon page….hope that makes sense.

Hi there, I’m so sorry you are having problems. I just checked the links on my end and they do open to the applicable Amazon page. Could you try a different browser and see if that helps? Or better yet, let me list them here for you. These are my affiliate links:

I just wanted to pop in to say YES to the Parenthood series! Definitely in the top series of all time! I actually found three or four of the series in dvd at my local Salvation Army so now I can watch how often I want as many times as I want. ?
