Hey everyone! Technically it’s not Thanksgiving here in Canada until next Monday but we always celebrate on the Sunday night before so we can all sleep in the next day after all our hard work 🙂 Just wanted to explain why you are seeing my Thanksgiving menu this week instead of next. I’m so excited to set my Thanksgiving table this year due to some new things I’ve found to make it all fallish and festive. I’ll be sure to take pictures! To be honest I’d much rather decorate the table than cook the dinner but I’ve picked some fairly easy recipes so hopefully everything will come out tasting yummy. Wish me luck!
Please note that due to our Thanksgiving celebrations, Menu Plan Monday will not go up next week until first thing Monday morning at 6:00 am pst. I know MPM on the actual Monday, what a concept!
Here is what’s on our menu for the week:
Monday: Kielbasa Tortellini Alfredo (I’ll make my own Lower Fat Alfredo Sauce)
Tuesday: All-In-One Pork Chop Bake
Wednesday: Better-Than-Ever Beef Enchiladas
Thursday: Leftover buffet
Friday: Baked Teriyaki Chicken served with perogies and broccoli
Saturday: Basil-Tomato Grilled Cheese and soup
Thanksgiving Sunday:
Terrific Turkey (due to my son’s allergies I’ll do the turkey using the without stuffing preparation and cook my stuffing separately)
Flavorful Mashed Potatoes (recipe from Taste of Home’s Healthy Cooking Oct/Nov 2008)
Traditional Holiday Stuffing (recipe from Taste of Home’s Healthy Cooking Oct/Nov 2008)
Chocolate Cluster-Peanut Butter Cake
Have a great week all and welcome to everyone new here, thank you so much for joining us!
WHAT’S ON YOUR MENU?
Menu Plan Monday guidelines and banner selections here.
Hey, I put the correct link on #2, but left wal-mart in the title–Sorry! You can delete one if you like.

Those basil grilled cheese look simply yummy! I will have to try those. Happy Thanksgiving to you. 🙂
Kim
Happy Thanksgiving to you!
Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving Laura!

My link was not working right. I posted as #12 Lynn. It was sending it to my homepage not my meal planning post. I linked it again and I am #17. You may want to delete #12. Thanks and sorry about that.
Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you have a great week. Thanksgiving’s not til next month for us in the USA, but I’ve already started my Thanksgiving Day menu. I love Thanksgiving.
Oh delic! Makes my mouth water.
I have to admit though …. I get our Thanksgiving dinner “in-a-box” from the grocery store. We don’t have family or anyone to come over, so it’s much more enjoyable for me to not have to spend the whole morning in the kitchen by myself!
Um… how did I not know that you were in Canada??
I’ve been coming here for a few months now and I never knew that!!! D’oh!!
I love Thanksgiving!! Especially since we don’t have it a month before Christmas! Gives me a little time in between turkeys! 😀
Happy Thanksgiving to you! For a minute I thought I was in a time warp!LOL I always prepare my stuffing separate as we like it a little bit crispy on top and I believe the turkey cooks more evenly all by itself. Can’t wait to see the pictures!
Happy Thanksgiving. I’m so impressed with all of your linking of recipes each week. Blessings on your holiday.
I didn’t realize you were Canadian too! Although I should have, with the Value Vilage chest 😉
Happy Thanksgiving!
Who needs turkey when you have that fabulous peanut butter cake! My favorite 🙂 Fabulous!
Thanks for another wonderful MPM week. This is the only way I get motivated enough to plan a menu by Monday. Might have to put the pork chop bake on my menu for next weeks. Looks great and I love pork chops… and one-dish meals.
Happy Thanksgiving!
oh yum….I think every one of those recipes is getting added to my binder! That cake looks absolutely SINFUL….just like I like it!
I’m going to have to try that cake! My hubby loves peanut bitter and chocolate.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Ooops, I think I screwed up my link by not putting anything after my name (sorry, it’s my first time!). Will pay more attention next time!
I forgot to say I’m new! Thought I’d try this out for awhile 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving!
Great site! My first post for MPM.
You always throw me off when you do your Thanksgiving edition – for a split second my brain thinks: “What? Already?! Oh. Wait. She’s in Canada, duh.” 😉
By the way – that cake looks and sounds TOO TOO yummy. I love the combination of chocolate and peanut butter!!
I can’t wait to try that cake! I think peanut butter and chocolate were definitely meant to be together!Thank you and have a very SAFE and wonderful Thanksgiving!
I have an award for you on my blog.
Link for #78 isn’t working for me…???
Hey, I have to try those Basil Tomato Grilled Cheese sandwiches! And the Chocolate Cluster Peanut Butter Cake. Yummmm. 🙂
OK LOVING Thanksgiving Sunday!!! LOVE it!

Your menu looks scrumptious. And the cake is absolutely beautiful!! I am amazed every week at how many people are here – it really is inspiring to plan a menu with so many others joining in! As always, thank you.
Happy Thanksgiving 🙂
Got my MPM up. It’s been a nutso time at our house the last few weeks, so I wasn’t able to participate. Good to be back!
Happy Thanksgiving! That cake looks so amazing.
Yum, sounds wonderful! Happy Thanksgiving!!
have a great week,
Steph
Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
That cake looks divine!
We never cook our stuffing in the turkey. I like it a little crisp & I guess there are actually health risks of cooking it in the turkey.
Happy Thanksgiving! 🙂

Well, you and your family have an enjoyable and relaxing Thanksgiving!
As always, you have a terrific planned menu.
I’m have to take a look at your Alfredo Sauce recipe.
That acorn squash casserole looks different and totally delicious. I’m going to try it for sure for Thanksgiving . . . we have about 15 family members coming to town so I need to “wow” them with something!! I’ve just joined Menu Plan Monday and I’m totally loving it – I love your whole site, thanks so much!
I wish it was Thanksgiving in the states. Hmm…I’m only 50 miles from the border…?
I want some of that Peanut Butter cake. It looks perfect!!!! Too good to eat!!!
Am i the only one not seeing the links?
Happy Thanksgiving early, Laura. The Acorn Squash Feta casserole sounds amazing. I will have to try that sometime for sure.
Tiffany sometimes the links don’t work properly if the owner has entered a link incorrectly.
Also Rete I see the links so I’m not sure why you are unable to. Hopefully it’s working for you now.
Laura
I hope that your Thanksgiving is wonderful. I’m just glad that ours is not for over a month as there is no way I’d be ready to cook such a meal right now.
Silly me forgot why I wanted to be on line last night after church so I didn’t get around to posting this even though I had it all ready to go. 🙄
I”m new! please let me know if I did anything wrong!
Happy early Thanksgiving to you then. It looks like a tasty one. 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving up there in Canada! I hope you have a wonderful holiday surrounded by the most precious things in the world… the people you love!

Happy Thanksgiving to you! I aspire to link in recipes someday but I’m impressed I’m back here for the 2nd week in a row…baby steps! Thanks for doing this on your site – I love getting ideas from your posts and some of the others.
Enjoy the cake, I’ve made it and it’s super yummy!!
The cake looks awesome. I may make that for my son’s birthday because we have some serious pb/chocolate love at this house! Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving! I had NO idea that American and Canadian Thanksgivings were on TWO different dates…thanks for providing me with a little bit of trivia knowledge.
BTW, that cake looks AWESOME!
Oh, that Chocolate Cluster Peanut Butter Cake is delicious. I made it for my DH for his b’day this year and we all loved it.
I found your lovely site through another blog and I have just participated in my first Menu Plan Monday.
It was nice to see your Thanksgiving menu. I still have no idea what I am cooking. Oy.
I love Menu Planning. I am really going to try to stick with this better! Thanks for always being here, whether I am or not! 🙂
Yay, my first MPM!!!
2nd week of MPM and loving it!! This week is crock pot weeek! I look forward to checking out other menus and getting inspiration 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving! We always celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving with my mother-in-law when she lived close by (she was from Canada). I always loved how it started the holiday season so “early” for me and really extended it.
I see you have a peanut butter cake on for Thanksgiving. Just a heads up that I have a gluten and dairy free peanut butter cake on my blog your son might like: http://web.mac.com/tlitzinger/Angelas_Kitchen/Blog/Entries/2007/3/31_Peanut_Butter_Polka_Dot_Cake.html
Have a great Thanksgiving! One thing I am thankful for is your great site. Thanks for hosting this every week and for all the great organizing info you give out.

I plan my menus on Wednesdays or Thursday. Can I still participate even though I do it on a different day?
The pork chops and peanut butter cake look really good. I may have to attempt both here in the not too distant future.
Happy Thanksgiving! OH GIRL, I tried your Keilbasa Tortellini Alfredo recipe and it was AWESOME!!!! I used the low-fat version and it will become a staple in my household 😀 My family thanks you for our break from chicken 😉
I am so excited to find this blog! I can’t wait to play along. I’ll come back with my link later once I get my meal plan up 🙂
