Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends! Many of you will have celebrated last night as my family had orginally intended. Unfortunately we had to change plans along the way and I am in fact having my big ole turkey tonight. Since we also have a birthday party today from 2-4 I spent most of yesterday getting everything prepared in advance so now we can relax and enjoy the afternoon skating together. And in case you think we are leaving our turkey high and dry when we go out, don’t you worry because we have ourselves a turkey sitter 🙂
I was so excited to share my pretty Thanksgiving table with you today too but since I haven’t even set it yet I guess that will have to wait until next week.
So not only do I have Thanksgiving dinner to look forward to but the turkey leftovers as well! Have a happy week everyone!
Monday: Thanksgiving Dinner (as detailed last week)
Tuesday: Creamy Turkey Soup
Wednesday: BBQ Turkey Pita
Thursday: Sausage and Tomato Rigatoni
Friday: Homemade Pizza
Saturday: Country Pepper Omelet Pie
Sunday: If you can find it, you can have it!
WHAT’S ON YOUR MENU?

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! We celebrate next month so I have already printed your turkey left over meals. Wow do they look fantastic! Blessings to you.
Well, you know what they say about the best laid plans. 😉 I think the best part of Thanksgiving is the leftovers, so I don’t mind it. As a matter of fact, since we’re doing Thanksgiving at MiL’s this year, I’m still going to do Thanksgiving stuff here so we have leftovers. Because of some of MiL’s medical problems, though, this also means I get to cook some dishes twice – but that’s ok. 🙂 SiL and I got together this week and figured out who is going to do what at MiL’s house (I live the closest but neither of us live RIGHT there) and how we’re going to let her help. This will hopefully let us have a bit less stressful holiday. I’m trying to figure out what I want to do for dessert – I’m just not a big fan of pumpkin or pecan pie – both of which will be there. I’m thinking of making gingerbread since cranberry salad will already be served as the salad course (Jello, walnuts, cranberries, cream cheese, celery) so I don’t want to make cranberry bread. Any ideas except pie are welcome (there’s only going to be 5 people at dinner and I think 3 pies are a bit much when most of us are trying to watch our weight most of the time).
Happy Thanksgiving to all the Canadians out there. Hope you have a wonderful time with family and friends!
Happy Thanksgiving!!!! Enjoy your family time 🙂 and the food!
Happy Thanksgiving! 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy your holiday. 🙂
Thanks for still taking the time to host for us.
So much turkey! Good eatings though. Happy Thanksgiving!
Just posted my menu plan for the week.
Happy Thanksgiving. Wishing you a very special holiday. Can’t wait to see and hear all about it.
So, why do Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving the night before the holiday?
Menu looks great! 🙂
I’m not a Canadian but Happy Thanksgiving! I’ve already started to plan our dinner (over a month early).
Your menu always looks great!
Ranee, I think some of us do it just so we have another day off to recuperate before going back to work 🙂
Busy week here, so tried for easy to make meals. DD, of course, requested mashed potatoes. I think that’s the most time consuming thing I’m making this week. 🙂 ~~Rhonda
I love turkey leftovers!! Sounds like a delicous week, happy Thanksgiving!
We’re doing the turkey thing on Monday too! Should be easy with only the three of us and a tiny breast roast. 🙂
Hey for dessert ideas, what about a chocolate fondue? That way you get chocolate and you can have fruit, etc. Super easy to do.

MMMMM – I’m going to have to try that turkey soup!
I just did my first menu plan, but I modified my plan a bit. I don’t cook. Luckily, I have a husband who does. Because we have hectic lives (and no kids yet) our dinners aren’t usually very planned. So, I decided to start with, I will plan at least 2 days of the week and at least one will be a new recipe (I’m trying to figure out this room in the house called a kitchen!). Wish me luck!
Happy Thanksgiving Laura 🙂
Woohooo….we done with the fairs for a while, soooOOOOoOoo I’m BACK!!! Oh it feels soooo good!!! Thanks for keeping us on track!

Happy Thanksgiving… if your menu was any indication, I am sure it was WONDERFUL! The sausage & tomato rigatoni sounds like something my husband would love – may have to check that one out. 😉
The participation in this is must awesome, Laura. Tickles me to death every time I see how many people do this.
If I had a husband at home at night, I’d sooooo do this.
Happy Thanksgiving!!
I have gotten some great ideas from this. Thanks!

Happy belated Thanksgiving! Unfortunately we won’t have turkey leftovers ’cause we had goose. Not much leftovers with those. LOL.
