MPM ~ June 23rd

Hello happy menu planners! Welcome to another week 🙂

I was a super busy girl yesterday and made three different recipes trying to use up some of the rhubarb my in-laws left on my doorstep. My favorite dessert of all time is a crisp, of any kind really, but strawberry rhubarb is right up there as one of my favorites. It’s so yummy served hot with vanilla frozen yogurt scoops melting on top….mmmmm. This crisp I made was a bit different though in that it used cereal for the topping. I must say I did enjoy it! Here are the recipe links in case anyone is interested:

The third recipe (in the square pan) was left for me in the comments on last week’s Menu Plan Monday post by Barb (no blog). Thanks Barb! It made my father in law really really happy 🙂

Alrighty then moving along I also want to totally recommend to you the Fuss Free Ravioli and Cheese Bake from last week. Wow, talk about easy. I love that you don’t even have to cook the ravioli first. So good! I would even make this for company with a nice salad and garlic toast on the side. Did anyone else try it out?

Please take note of the following important news bulletin:

Next week (June 30th) I will be away and rather than cancel MPM I have asked my friend Laura from Heavenly Homemakers to host for me and she kindly agreed. So please be sure to head on over there next week and link up as usual. You might even want to also check out some of her awesome and healthy recipes while you are there especially her Whole Wheat Cinnamon Rolls. Yum, yum, yum!

So this week is my birthday week and I’m super excited about it. I have an amazing day all planned out start to finish and it includes three hours of helping my girlfriend organize her playroom in the morning followed by lunch and an hour massage….woohoo, it just doesn’t get any better than that!

Enjoy your week all!

Monday: Italian Sausage & Rigatoni Casserole

Tuesday: Birthday supper ~ Grilled Teriyaki Steak with Potatoes Plus and corn on the cob

Wednesday: Luau Chicken Sandwiches served with caesar salad

Thursday: Black Bean Quesadillas

Friday: Leftovers

So.. for your birthday I’m posting a few links from my previously locked blog so you can SEE the affect you’ve had on me. 🙂

  11. Thanks for the rhubarb recipes! My parents always seem to plant that in their garden but we have very limited ways to use it, that we like anyway. Happy early birthday!

  12. Thanks for the return visit Laura! I really hope you have a wonderful birthday and also wish I had access to rhubarb. Although I’ve never tried it, it brings back memories because my dad used to rave about it so much.

Have a wonderful week and thank you for Menu Plan Monday!

  13. Wow what a great site! Maybe one day with ispiration from people like you I will have a simple and organized home! Glad I found your blog!

  14. Hi, I tried to add my site to your menu planning Monday list and messed up. Not sure how to edit it. I am both number 247 and 248 on the list. The first one, #247 list my name, but not my site name although the link is correct. The second one, #248 has the correct site name but a mistake in the link. Can you help? Thanks for your time and the effort it takes to run this site.

    Blessings, Beth Danielsen

  15. Well, since my menu plan consists pretty much of eating out, I’m going to wait until we move AGAIN.

Thanks for spending your birthday lunch with us! Ann’s play room is looking SO much better now, it just needs to have that carpet THROWN OUT!!
