Hello happy menu planners! Welcome to another week 🙂
I was a super busy girl yesterday and made three different recipes trying to use up some of the rhubarb my in-laws left on my doorstep. My favorite dessert of all time is a crisp, of any kind really, but strawberry rhubarb is right up there as one of my favorites. It’s so yummy served hot with vanilla frozen yogurt scoops melting on top….mmmmm. This crisp I made was a bit different though in that it used cereal for the topping. I must say I did enjoy it! Here are the recipe links in case anyone is interested:
The third recipe (in the square pan) was left for me in the comments on last week’s Menu Plan Monday post by Barb (no blog). Thanks Barb! It made my father in law really really happy 🙂
Alrighty then moving along I also want to totally recommend to you the Fuss Free Ravioli and Cheese Bake from last week. Wow, talk about easy. I love that you don’t even have to cook the ravioli first. So good! I would even make this for company with a nice salad and garlic toast on the side. Did anyone else try it out?
Please take note of the following important news bulletin:
Next week (June 30th) I will be away and rather than cancel MPM I have asked my friend Laura from Heavenly Homemakers to host for me and she kindly agreed. So please be sure to head on over there next week and link up as usual. You might even want to also check out some of her awesome and healthy recipes while you are there especially her Whole Wheat Cinnamon Rolls. Yum, yum, yum!
So this week is my birthday week and I’m super excited about it. I have an amazing day all planned out start to finish and it includes three hours of helping my girlfriend organize her playroom in the morning followed by lunch and an hour massage….woohoo, it just doesn’t get any better than that!
Enjoy your week all!
Monday: Italian Sausage & Rigatoni Casserole

Hey Laura
When *exactly* is your birthday? My memory is shot – sorry 🙂
Sounds like a plan for a great time on your birthday–happy birthday wishes in advance!!

Happy birthday! I am now telling myself that my birthday was Saturday, I DO NOT need to keep celebrating my birthday this whole week, I don’t need the calories! 😉

I STILL don’t think I can get into rhubarb. I love zucchini chocolate bread–does that count?
We grow a ton of rhubarb, but I let other people take it. I just don’t like it.
So if you lived near me I’d give some to you!
Visit To Love, Honor and Vacuum today!
Your menu looks great and I am having fun exploring others as well. Thanks so much for hosting and for helping keep us on track.
Got my menu up. You’ll have to read about what happened with last weeks beans!

They all look good and someday I should be a good mommy and bake something !
Happy, happy birthday, my friend. May your day find lots of joy, laughter and love! {{{{Hugs}}}}
Crisp is my favorite everyday kind of dessert, too! See I knew I liked you for a reason! ;v) I’ve never tried rhubarb strawberry though.
I’ve been a rhubarb crisp making fool around here. The other day I even made rhubarb strawberry jam. Its such a first of summer treat.
Happy Birthday!
I’ve posted my menu plan and finally unlocked my site so folks can actually visit!
I also wanted to THANK YOU! You’ve had a HUGE affect on me (I’m a completely challenged individual when it comes to doing ANYTHING in an organized way). When I first followed a link over here I was blown away and just started surfing like crazy. Well, with all your great tips and inspiration, I GOT BUSY! So.. for your birthday I’m posting a few links from my previously locked blog so you can SEE the affect you’ve had on me. 🙂

Rhubarb recipes look yummy!
Here’s my Menu Plan Monday #2!
Happy Birthday! I’m new to blogging but not to menu planning. Thanks for hosting MPM.
I am definitely going to try those rhubarb recipes! And I am excited to go to Laura’s next week for MPM too…
I’ll have to try to find some rhubarb! Yum-o!
My menu includes a Super Simple recipe for chicken taco filling this week. Come check it out! 🙂
Thanks for the rhubarb recipes! My parents always seem to plant that in their garden but we have very limited ways to use it, that we like anyway. Happy early birthday!
It’s my first time linking…
Thanks for the return visit Laura! I really hope you have a wonderful birthday and also wish I had access to rhubarb. Although I’ve never tried it, it brings back memories because my dad used to rave about it so much.
Have a wonderful week and thank you for Menu Plan Monday!
Laura! This looked so good I copy-cat-ed most of it! 🙂 The ravioli was really yummy!
Blessings!
Lori
Wow what a great site! Maybe one day with ispiration from people like you I will have a simple and organized home! Glad I found your blog!
Thanks for sharing the link for the Fuss-Free Ravioli and Cheese Bake. I might give that a try. We just had ravioli tonight. I simply cooked the ravioli and then put it in spaghetti sauce and let it cook for a little bit. I served it up with some garlic breadsticks. It turned out pretty well and it was quite easy!
Hope you have a wonderful week!

Hi, I tried to add my site to your menu planning Monday list and messed up. Not sure how to edit it. I am both number 247 and 248 on the list. The first one, #247 list my name, but not my site name although the link is correct. The second one, #248 has the correct site name but a mistake in the link. Can you help? Thanks for your time and the effort it takes to run this site.
Blessings, Beth Danielsen
Well, since my menu plan consists pretty much of eating out, I’m going to wait until we move AGAIN.
Thanks for spending your birthday lunch with us! Ann’s play room is looking SO much better now, it just needs to have that carpet THROWN OUT!!
