You know it’s going to be a good day when…..

I don’t know how many of you would be excited about a pile of clothing on the floor but I really couldn’t have asked for anything more! This heap of clothing (which is a lot bigger than it looks) was just waiting there…..staring up at me from the floor….a gift from my hubbie…and I’m still in shock. This is no ordinary pile of clothing…this pile of his clothing is for the TRASH! Yep, he cleared out his drawers….without me having to whine, plead, beg ask! And believe me…I’m pretty sure some of these t-shirts are older than my kids! Oh yes, I admit I may have even shedded a tear or two….there I said it. This is toe stompin’, hand clappin’, goodness my friends. It’s all about celebrating the little things in life and this is definitely worth celebrating….oh yes it is!

  1. Wow, I wish I could get my hubby to do that! He has way too many shirts that need weeded out, but he’s sentimental and won’t get rid of them lol.

  2. I can understand how exciting that can be! I often sneak around and toss things I *know* won’t be missed, haven’t been wrong yet, he barely notices, lol :o) It is great when our other half jumps in with the decluttering though! THanks for sharing!

  3. Man….I thought we could bond over our piles – my heart was fluttering!! I have 4 like it – but they are dirty laundry!!

(Maybe I should just call them purges and put them out to the curb??!)

  4. I understand your excitement completely! That is so exciting.I end up purging my dh’s clothing. I don’t think he has EVER taken the initiative in the 8 (almost 9 years) that we have been married!

  5. Oh my! That’s wonderful. I would have passed out if anything like that happened in my house! The pile that was left for me today was of the feather persuasion (don’t worry, it wasn’t gross.) Check out my blog for the pic!

  6. That is wonderful! My husband hates it when I ask him to clean out his drawers or closet. Woohoo!

  7. My husband doesn’t even know where to find his clothes much less how to get rid of old ones! You must be a good hubby trainer.
I went through Izzy’s armoire today and have piles and piles of outgrown little clothes!
    At least I’m done:)
    Have a great day!

  8. perhaps your organizing skills are working on him! He IS catching on! hooooray for you!

  9. I just love your blog, it is so cool. You did a great job. I have no organizations skills, you should come over here.

  10. Occasionally I get my hubby to do this. When we first got married it took several months to convince him to get rid of the rattiest looking t-shirt. It had more holes than fabric. It was his yard work shirt. He might as well have gone without. 🙂

  11. Hee hee…that gave me such a giggle! My hubby has some clothes I’m just itching to ditch, specifically a faded grey t-shirt that’s so thin you can practically see through it.

Hey, we’re neighbours, right? Can you come help me please?!
