Hello! Another week is upon us and the kids are back to school. Since I’m a creature of habit I am so looking forward to having my routine back in place…..starting with my Monday morning grocery shop! Most of you know that my cooking/baking abilities are limited so when my bloggy friend Barb posted this week with step by step picture instructions to her Party Potato Skins recipe I couldn’t help but laugh because she may have thought it was silly but I thought it was brilliant. Her tip for cooking up the bacon was just awesome! That kind of help is exactly what I need…can’t wait to try out the recipe Barb. Hint: I hope you make this a regular feature!
So here we go with my menu for the week:
Monday: Spaghetti and meatballs with spinach salad
Tuesday: Slow cooker Sirloin Roast with Gravy (Simple & Delicious Nov/Dec 06 Pg 13) with mashed potatoes and carrots
Wednesday: Slow cooker Chicken in Mushroom Sauce with perogies and beans
Thursday: Leftovers
Friday: Pizza or soup and grilled cheese sandwiches
Thanks for participating everyone and don’t forget to clean out your junk drawer!!

I’ve got my menu up. You have to know that knowing how early you get yours posted keeps me motivated to pre-plan mine. 🙂

Just wondering, what do you cook on the weekends? Do you just do leftovers or eat out?

I’m so late! Sorry! Have a super fantabulous week! Menu looks delish! Thanks so much for hosting!

Great question…I purposely don’t plan Sat/Sun for a couple of reasons. Sometimes if for whatever reason I’m unable to stick to my menu plan through the week (if we get invited out for example) then I can easily move it to one of the weekend days. Also Saturday and sometimes Sunday is usually Dad’s day. My hubbie is a way better cook than I am and he usually makes up something wonderful although not planned in advance.

Mine is posted again (as I did the 1st – 15th before I signed up on this blog). We’ve had a week of wonderful recipes, especially the Chicken with roasted red pepper sauce I tried.
Can’t wait to implement some of the recipes I’ve found browsing through all of these other menus!

This is my first time to participate as well. I am hoping I will be a regular at this because I know my health and waist will benefit.
Thanks for organizing this. I look forward to getting ideas for you all.

When you told me I needed to come back over here and read your subtle hint, I was a little nervous, Laura. But I think I can do this. The regular feature thing, I mean. Honestly, do you know anyone else out here who photographs every single thing she cooks? Whew! That was close but as often as I do these photographic cooking things, I think most people would say it’s a regular feature.
Wait a minute. Surely you aren’t suggesting I should really make this “regular” like with a designated day every week or something. Shoot. I’ll bet you are.
Sigh….OK. I’ll give this some thought. Oooooh. You’re very subtle. 🙂
