Menu Plan Monday – Dec 11th

Oh it is good to be back to having a menu! I got home last Monday and since my hubbie had already gotten the groceries I didn’t bother with a menu plan….yep I was wild and crazy and didn’t plan a thing and all I can say is what a disaster! We didn’t starve but let’s just say we didn’t exactly eat healthy. So I’m definitely ready to get back into the swing of things.

While I was away in the big city I happen to check out the store Michaels…..WOW! What an amazing store and I’m not even a craft person! I got the cutest magnetic note pad with the days of the week listed across the top which is just perfect for my menu planning and it only cost me $1.50! Have a look:

Isn’t that exciting? I know, I know, it doesn’t take much to excite me does it…lol! Anyway here is my menu for this week:

Monday: Soft beef tacos
Tuesday: Slow Cooker Italian Pork Chop Dinner served with rice and broccoli
Wednesday: Slow Cooker Chicken Dinner
Thursday: Sausage Macaroni Bake
Friday: Leftovers or eat out

SO WHAT ARE YOU EATING FOR DINNER THIS WEEK?

  1. Looks like a yummy week at your house! And I really like the menu pad! I am going to have to go to Michael’s now!!

    Have a great Monday!

  2. I LOVE that magnetic day of the week roll, too. What a great price! It doesn’t take much to get me going either….LOL!!

  3. I’ve got some really good turkey Italian sausage in the freezer. I think it’s going to be coming out for that Sausage Macaroni Bake. It sounds so good.

  4. This is my first week participating officially (last week, I did post a menu, but it was your week off!). 🙂 Thank you for doing this b/c it forced me to think about our menu for the week first thing this morning!

  5. Wow, I will have to check Michaels for one of those notepads. How ideal! I always write out my menu plan on the back of my shopping list, and that works just fine (I keep it posted on the fridge with a magnetic clip), but — this is cuter! And the price is right.

It’s good to have you back, Laura!

  6. Glad you’re back Laura, and that you had a great trip. Unfortunately, I’ve been to Michael’s MANY times, but I have not ever seen that notepad. Very cute! And perfect for the weekly menu 🙂

    Have a great day!

  7. I am headed out to the big city myself today to give a Final Exam….I plan on stopping by Michaels with the hope that they have the same notepad here. I am just a disaster when it comes to meal planning…perhaps this will keep me on track.

  8. Laura, I first saw this Menu Plan Monday on another person’s blog and she pointed me to your blog. Wow! I love it! I’ve been doing menu planning for the past 4-5 years and it has really saved me time, energy and money. Once in awhile I even do OAMC and it gets even better. I’m behind on that task, but we’re doing okay.

  9. OH I SO want that little magnet with the days….are you kidding me? $1.50???

    Lucky lucky you 🙂

You as always have a great menu planned. I’m sorry I didn’t participate today, since I’ve been sick this whole past week, I didn’t even get to plan menus for this week, it’s pretty much a eat out or fend for yourself week….but I’ll be back with menus next week..promise 🙂

    Hugs,
    Sandra

  10. I just LOVE your Michael’s find! I am going there today. That store scares me — because I could easily spend much more than I have!

  11. You don’t have to be crafty to love Michael’s. I’m in there about once a week! I do crafts but one of my favorite thing is all the magnetic notepads. You’d be proud of me – I have a different notepad on the refrigerator for each store I shop at. Very, very organized, yes? 🙂

  12. I got to looking at my notepad picture and thought it might be a little deceiving…the little flower magnet is separate and not part of the notepad, but you probably already knew that…lol.

  13. This is my first time with menu plan Monday. I hope to learn lots about keeping a blog from you guys.
    Have a great week.

  14. Oops! I forgot to comment. Thanks for visiting my blog, Laura. Thanks to everyone else for all the great recipes I get here.

  15. Hi, Laura!

I don’t mean to bother you, but on the last menu plan monday post (2 weeks ago) I posted a comment with this question:

“I do have one question… I noticed the ad for Planned Parenthood.org on your left sidebar. I know they support abortion, and so I was wondering if you do, also. I don’t want to link to a website or blog that advertises for or vocally supports abortion. Please let me know if you plan to keep the planned parenthood ad up!

    Thanks! :)”

I imagine you’ve just been too busy to answer, but I thought I’d ask again about that PlannedParenthood.org ad!

    Thanks for your time! 🙂

    ~Tammy

  16. Love your blog. My daughter, Eden, said I would. Looking forward to visiting again.
    Blessings,

  17. Hi Tammy,
I couldn’t find your email address to email you back. You will notice that the Planned Parenthood ad has been removed from my site and has been since I got back from vacation last week.
    Thanks.
    Laura
