The following is a guest post from regular contributor, Rachel.
I love when other people highlight their organizing goodies from Ikea. I easily get lost at Ikea and often times overlook many of it’s hidden gems. Today’s post is to bring attention to a new favorite and inexpensive organizer I stumbled upon recently. No affiliate marketing here, just my genuine appreciation for a product.
I could get lost in Ikea for hours and never end up going home with anything. Perhaps it’s because I get overwhelmed or can’t find what I want in the midst of so many choices. So, when I picked this container up on a whim, I was thrilled with it’s small price tag and big versatility. I knew others might feel like me and immediately thought I’d share about this new find with my OrgJunkie Friends.
It’s called an ANTONIUS basket insert. It’s clear plastic (pictured below) and each divided compartment is a good size to fit a variety of your needs, anything from makeup to kitchen gadgets. You know how I love wipeable plastic containers, so this one checks off the cleanliness standard that I try to maintain when using containers.
I think (but I could be wrong) it was designed to fit inside the 3-tiered RASKOG utility cart, also sold at Ikea. I happen to have it in the dark gray color. I’ll have to show you next time how I use our cart in the guest/girls’ bathroom. How’s that for a teaser to keep you watching for my next OJ post? 😉
Note from Laura: this cart has been on my wish list for so long!!
The first reason I purchased a few of these inserts was because I wanted to organize my RASKOG cart, but then I branched out and fell in love with how perfectly they fit on my shallow bathroom cabinet shelves. While the basket itself can obviously hold many different toiletries, I specifically use it for all my nail supplies. I fit my nail polishes, pedicure supplies, polish remover, Jamberry wraps that I organized HERE, nail clippers, etc. Everything fits inside with room to spare and the container slides easily onto my odd-sized bathroom shelves.
Best of all, these divided organizers are only $3 at Ikea! Whoot, whoot! Again, not selling anything here but rather sharing with y’all a good deal when I spot one. If you’re reading about organizing, I’d venture to say most of you love a useful AND inexpensive organizer as much as I do! 🙂
So, next time you find your hubby asleep on a display sofa while you were lost in the land of Ikea, remember to grab one of these easily overlooked organizing gems. If you’re lucky and have already stumbled upon the ANTONIUS inserts, please tell me in the comments below how you organize with it in your home. I love to hear what works for other people! Happy organizing, Friends!
In the professional world, I’m a nurse by trade. But, around our house, I’m known as Mommy to our young daughters. My two worlds collided and began shaping into a blog. Useful Beautiful Home represents the hours I’ve dedicated to managing my household as efficiently as possible. I offer you motivation to keep your home healthy, organized, and welcoming. My goal is to share what I’ve implemented in my home to inspire you with fresh ideas and to encourage you to keep up the good work in yours!

Since my daughter has that cart in the blue at college, I think I will have to be checking into that. The nearest IKEA is about an hour away, but the next time I am nearby, I will pick this up for her!

Mine is about 2 hours away and one of these days I will get there!!

I have these organizing helpers in the kitchen, organizing the “junk” drawer, in the linen closet, and in my nightstand drawer. They’re wonderfully sized, and really versatile!

Adds this to the IKEA list times 5!

I have that cart, but I didn’t know about this organizing insert! I need to get one asap because as much as I love the cart, it’s not nearly as organized as it could be.

I love this organizer, too! Like you, it’s one of my favorites. I use it as a drawer organizer. I have one draw used as our first aid station — everything fits perfectly. Another one holds our toiletries for guests who come to stay (small toothpastes, extra toothbrushes, travel-sized lotions, hand sanitizers, lip balms, etc.)
Love this organizer!
