I’ve always been a night owl, for as far back as I can remember. I would never go to bed before 12 and the evening hours is often when I’d get my best work done. Then in the morning it would take me forever to wake up and you most certainly didn’t want to talk to me. Yikes, watch out! However, since being diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in the fall I realized that I needed to do a better job of getting more sleep to make sure my immune system, that was being suppressed by medication, was given a fighting chance. So, to do this I had to decide to make sleep a priority. Gone were the working nights. Instead I went to bed at 8, read until 9 and then slumbered off. Because I was so fatigued from my autoimmune disease, it wasn’t really an issue for my body to adapt. I could barely keep my eyes open after supper. Now months later my body has amazingly adjusted and has turned itself around. If you had told me six months ago that I could eventually become a morning person, I would have told you that you were flat out crazy! Can you believe I actually don’t mind mornings now?
So now I’m currently working on a morning routine because without a morning routine I’ll just lay in bed checking my phone which as fun as that is, isn’t exactly productive. I’d like to get back to exercising in the morning. I had to stop when I was so sick and haven’t gotten back into the habit. Now that the weather is so nice out I’d love to start walking outside in the morning. I have a ton of podcasts saved up that I never get time to listen to so it would be fun to incorporate the two. I also want to be better at making time for my morning devotions and cooking a good breakfast. I just really want to be intentional about this time in the morning.
To help me figure this out I’ve decided to take Crystal Paine’s 14-day online Make Over Your Mornings course.
I’m a huge fan of Crystal’s so I can’t wait to sign up for this course. For those that don’t know she is the author of the book Say Goodbye to Survival Mode which I loved. You can read my review HERE.
Crystal has this to say about the course:
This 14-day course is designed to help you revolutionize your productivity, streamline your routines, invest your time in things that truly matter, and find more joy and peace in the process.
If you’ve ever wished that you could figure out how to get more done, have more organization in your life, and find time to spend on things you love, the Make Over Your Mornings Course is for you.
It’s not about following a one-size-fits-all system (because every woman and family is different!), but about creating a morning that is in line with your life, your strengths, your family’s needs, and your unique situation.
Do any of these apply to you:
Do you often wake up feeling behind—before you even get out of bed?
Are you constantly frustrated that it seems like you are so busy, but you have very little to show for all your effort?
Are you worn down and worn out by all the hats you are wearing and balls you are juggling?
Do you wish you could find time to refuel your tank, improve your health, invest more into your family, or even just to slow down and breathe?
Then this course is for you too, join me! Get all the details at the Make Over Your Mornings site.

I’m not a mom, a working girl, but I might take this class too. I need help utilizing my limited free time correctly. Having an 90 min commute (car to train to office) and then again at night is exhausting and come the weekend some things just don’t get done.
