So near the beginning of this 31 Days to Organized Closets series I shared a free printable to help you part with your clothes. Then I thought how great it would be to have a step by step checklist for organizing your entire closet. I thought about making my own but then found one online that is most excellent and FREE!
Ruth over at Living Well, Spending Less ran her own 31 series last year titled 31 Days to Living Well & Spending Zero. On Day #12 she provided this Organize Your Bedroom Closet Checklist for you to download. Click on the graphic below to go get it.
One of the things I found fascinating about Ruth’s post is the update she added to it awhile later. She explained that she has since moved to a 40 Hanger Closet.
Yep 40 hangers. Wow, very impressive! I’m not sure I could do it to be honest. I love clothes too much and I really hate doing laundry. So there’s that. But if I had a smaller closet and needed to do it to make my clothes fit I would. To read more of Ruth’s tips for minimizing your closet for maximum gain, head over to this post of hers.
So I would love to know, is this something you would consider for your closet?

I hang more items than Ruth does (pretty much every shirt including t-shirts and tanks) so I’d never get down to just 40 hangers, but I love that post and that photo. It’s like a store. It’s my inspiration!
