Family Command Center, Linen Closet Organization, Cleaning Printables + more!

It’s Friday, woohoo!  Whew and I made it through the first week of school, how are you all surviving?  My calendar is already starting to lose it’s white boxes but we are trying to stay very mindful of not taking on too many activities this year.  So not worth the stress to us.  Three kids and only one of them has a one day after school activity.  Just the way I like it!

So I’ve got a few more links for you this week.  I do hope you are enjoying this weekly feature.

What I’m Loving On:

I got a new tea maker last week and I’m crazy for it!  I love tea but tend to stay clear of loose teas because I hate cleaning out those small scoop type things that are so popular.  I just can’t be bothered.  So when I found the IngenuiTEA teapot I was so happy because clean up is so much easier and now I can broaden my tea selections.

I love this ingenuiTea maker!

You simply put the loose tea in the cup portion along with your hot water and  let it steep for 3 to 5 minutes.  Once it’s ready, place the tea maker on top of any cup and press down.  A valve opens allowing the tea to come out but the loose bits to remain in the teapot.  To clean just dump the loose tea out into the garbage and place teapot in dishwasher.  So easy!

Another favorite this week that I am jumping up and down about (you have no idea!) is my new hairspray.  Yep hairspray.  Long time readers will know that I have been on a 4 year search for a new hairspray (my old one was discontinued).  I’ve gone through so many hairsprays (see my collection here) but my expectations are high and until now I have been unsuccessful in my search.   Then I went to Hawaii and FOUND.THE.ONE.  At Safeway of all places.  Please celebrate with me as I introduce you to the BEST hairspray around, Salon Grafix Extra Super Hold Shaping Hairspray.

I got so nervous once I got home that I wouldn’t be able to find it here in Canada.  It took some looking but I finally found it at London Drugs.  It’s a little more than I would like to spend but totally worth it!  No stickiness and you don’t need much at all to get a good hold.  If you change your mind you can brush it out without flakes.  Very important.  The one on the left is from the US and the one on the right is from Canada.  They look different but are the same.  Seriously in love, yay!

Have a great weekend everyone!!

  1. I need good hairspray as well! I usually spend about $18 – $20 on a bottle at the salon because the stores sell crap for my hair type. I will have to try this one as well then

  2. Great post…and I just stumbled onto your blog. Love it! I’m determined to become more organized, little by little. The thing that I’m learning is that it takes a little more upfront effort, but after that, being organized is just so much easier. It seriously is, or at least should be, the lazy (wo)man’s way. :)Thanks for linking to my laundry room makeover.
    Have a great weekend, Laura.

  3. The IngenuiTEA teapot caught my eye. I am a tea drinker but cleaning out the tea leaves after brewing a cup is not my favorite activity. Sounds like I am not alone. : ) I checked out the product listing as well, I am tempted to buy it, and I think it also makes a great gift item.
