Hello Org Junkie Readers! Can you believe that it’s March already and it’s almost time for the snow to leave? And if you live in a place where you never got snow to begin with….lucky you! I’m also excited about this week because I am going to be meeting up with Org Junkie sweetheart Laura at BlogWest on Thursday where we will hang out, eat popcorn and visit while we take in the sights and sounds of the conference. {I will also be able to report back to you in a few weeks and tell you whether or not she snores….and how organized she is in a hotel room. But Sssshhhh! Don’t Tell!}
Now let’s get back to some marshmallow talk. I love marshmallow treats because they are the easiest thing in the world to make and kids love them. They are perfect to take to a classroom party or to share with friends. Also, kids can make ’em themselves since there is no oven involved and only a few ingredients are required. And I have had so much fun creating other marshmallow treats in the past like these sweet & silly Marshmallow Easter Kabobs.
Easy Marshmallow Easter Pops
Supplies:
Bag of marshmallows
lollipop sticks or popsicle sticks
melting wafers in whatever colour you like.
coloured sprinkles
Directions:
1. Place marshmallows on a cookie sheet lined with waxed paper.
2. Place melting wafers in a small bowl. Place sprinkles in a small bowl.
3. Melt wafers gently in microwave. Depending on the wattage of your microwave, it could be 20-40 seconds. Stir melted wafers until smooth. Dip marshmallow into melted wafers as shown.
4. Then dip marshmallows into sprinkles.
5. Place on waxed paper to dry. Add lollipop sticks as the last step. When dry, you can package them in little plastic bags and tie with a ribbon to look super cute.
And that is how easy Marshmallow Easter Pops are to make!
Don’t you love projects with no stress?
These little morsels of fun would also make a great activity to keep kids busy for a hour or so during Spring Break, which is just around the corner.We are having a staycation Spring Break this year that will involve sleeping in and a much welcome break from winter sports activities. How about you? What are your plans?
Wishing you a fun Spring Break…whatever your plans are!
