Menu Plan Monday – Sept 17th
Hey Gals! It was so nice to see Mr. Smiley Guy making his rounds last week! I’ve got to tell you that it makes me so very happy reading the comments from ladies who are new to menu planning share how much they are loving it and how much it is making a difference for them! I’m sure many people who are considering menu planning, but haven’t yet tried it for themselves, will find all of your comments very encouraging!
I tried a bunch of new recipes last week and the recipe winner of the week was the Chicken Berry Spinach Salad. Yummy and light and easy! This one will definitately become a staple in our house.
So here we go for this week:
Monday: Fajitas
Tuesday: Pork Chops & Perogies – thanks to Susanne for the link
Wednesday: Vegetable Spaghetti Bake – trying to use up an abundance of zucchini!
Thursday: Leftover buffet
Friday: Spinach Feta Pizza
WHAT’S ON YOUR MENU?
*Important – Please link to your individual MPM post instead of your home page. Spinach Feta Pizza sounds delightful. I even have Feta Cheese in the fridge.
Too bad you don’t live closer, I would offer to take some of that zucchini off your hands 🙂 !!
Love all the veggies in your menu!
Stacy
Your menu sounds wonderful! I agree the menu planning is such a blessing, I dont think folks relaize how much time, energy and money can be saved through planning!
Hope you have a great week!
Love the smiley guys 🙂
Sounds like another yummy week. I tried perogies for the first time recently and really liked them!!
i’ll take some of that zucchini too – we didn’t plant a garden this year. 🙁
have a great week!
Oh that spinach feta pizza sounds to die for!! I will have to try that for a girls’ night out. Thanks so much.
Blessings,
Julie
You wouldn’t believe how big my zucchini is either. My in-laws are the gardeners extraordinaire! I can’t keep up with them so if you’ve got any tried and true recipes please email me!
your menus always sound so yummy! thanks for always posting the recipes or links…this menu planning is such a great resource. thanks!
Your food sounds delicious! This is my third week doing this and it totally helps me out. Thanks for the idea!
I posted for the first time!
I love this idea and I can tell it’s going to be an easy week for me.
Thanks!
Mmmm spinach feta pizza sounds yummy! And the rest of your menu looks delicious too 🙂 Have a wonderful week!
I *love* spinach!
Great menu. I’m cooking fish every day this week! Hubby has ‘contacts’ and the fish is free…..
I love spinach, esp when I’m PMS (I know I’m PMS because I start craving spinach – isn’t that weird?).
So that spinach and feta pizza sounds delicious. I actually hide the spinach under the cheese and on top 🙂
Yummm your menu sounds delish. I have to agree with the others… this menu plan idea was the best. It really saves us money and makes my hubby feel special cause he gets to help plan the meals. 🙂 Thanks bunches!
Yummy week! We are having fajitas and pork chops this week too.
Have a great Monday!
I struggled with my menu plan this week but it is up now!
I’ve made a menu for this week but since my kitchen is still under construction I can’t really make anything yet. That’s really annoying! But as soon as I do get my kitchen back I have the menu done and only need to do the shopping, no planning. That’s a good thing.
BTW, why isn’t it possible to make backlinks to your posts? I wanted to link to your entry on backpack stations but it doesn’t work. 🙁 Did you do that on purpose or is there a bug?
We love pirogies so I will have to check that recipe out. And spinach feta pizza sounds like something I would love.
Have a great week!
Laura,
This is my third week doing MPM and I love it. I also post my menu on the fridge and now the kids know what to expect for dinner each night. This has definitely made our lives easier.
Thank you!

I always feel lost without my menu…it’s essential to my survival! 🙂
Participating in MPM is helpful when friends pester me for dinner ideas, I can send them here or link them to past weeks. This way there are tons of realistic ideas at our fingertips.
That pork chop recipe sounds delish! Thanks!!!
thanks for hosting MPM, Laura…have a great day!
Looks like a great week. Thanks for hosting MPM!
MJ
Thanks for hosting. My family is truly being blessed by my planning and I am getting lots of encouragement in my comments on my plans. I feel so good about myself.
Spinach feta pizza is one of my favorites! Especially with lots of roasted garlic on top.
Those pork chops and pierogies sound wonderful for a fall recipe. thanks for sharing!
The veggie spag sounds wonderful. My family would probably protest though. 🙁
Yeah,
Your week’s menu sound delicious. I’m a big fan of pork chops and Spinach Feta Pizza. We’ll be having that next week!
Been away for a couple of weeks, getting used to the new homeschool schedule! Glad to be back.
I’ve planned my menus for well over 30 years despite not being “brought up” that way. I remember seeing a menu plan on someone’s fridge and thinking, “I want to do that when I have my own kitchen.’ And so I have! I would be lost without a menu plan. It is definitely the best way to make use of seasonal foods and what’s on sale.
Thanks for hosting this, Laura. You are providing a valuable help to so many families!
God bless,
Mrs.T
Mayogi, you can create backlinks to my posts simply by clicking on the time at the bottom of any of my posts. This will give you the direct link which you can then just copy and paste into your link button on your post. Hope that helps!
Laura
Mmmmmmm it sounds so good Laura, thanks for sharing and thank you for hosting it each week 🙂
Hugs,
Sandra
Couldn’t get the smiley man to work, 🙁 maybe next time, but my menu is up anyway.
This is my second week officially here at MPM. Last week went well, managed to follow the recipe every day even though my husband kept suggesting we ditch the menu and order pizza. *rolls eyes*
Having MPM on my blog kind of forces me to follow the menu because I wouldn’t want to let down my readers… haha… but really, because it commits me to the plan and sometimes that’s what I need for motivation. Now if only the rest of my life were that organized…. 😉
I’ll be busy checking out all these recipes this week!
Wish I lived near you! I LOVE zucchini and miss being able to grow it!
We are also having pirogi this week!
Can’t wait to try out some of the new recipes! Have a great week!
Spinach Feta pizza. Yum, one of my faves. You’re menu sounds wonderful.
I will have to try that salad out…it sounded very good last week. I’m getting ready for meal plan next week…….going through recipes….we leave for Florida in 3 weeks….so I’m planning the vacation menu too….
My menu is going to be simple this week. Thanks for doing MPM! Have a good week!
I am late posting this today! I had to re-write it 3 times before I could actually get it posted. Grrrr! I’m better now! *L*
Ooh, I want to try your Spinach Feta Pizza soon! Thanks for sharing your menu for this week. 🙂
Mmm, love your menu for this week. I’m just getting back into cooking again and loving my Kraft Food and Family new magazine!
your menu looks great. Yummy. Have a great week. This site keeps me so on track even if I do sometimes move stuff from week to week.
Your week looks yummy! Thanks for hosting!
Hi, I am throwing my hat into the ring this week and playing along. :o) Fun! Fun!
It just feels like a spinach kind of week, doesn’t it? Enjoy your pizza it sounds yummy! 🙂
I accidently posted to last week’s list, so I re-linked on this one as well.
Happy cooking ladies!!
Why is it that calling it a “leftover buffet” make it sound so much more appealing?!!
You’ve inspired my industrious side to make a menu by using up what I have for the rest of the month. I’m determined not to step foot into a grocery store.
Blessings!
I’m happy to say, my menu is up and posted! Thanks for once again inspiring me to make my menu!
Blessings!
Heather
I SO love Menu Plan Monday! Thanks for hosting!
Yea! This is my first time to actually post! Thanks for hosting this each week!
Thanks for the inspiration!
Too much good stuff around here! Gonna have to blow the dust off of my recipe notebooks and come back to participate! Just wanted to say ‘hi’ and let you know that I’ve linked you on my Monday Morning Munchies!
I finally did it..I have been trying to get together enough to get somethng posted for months!
Wow..I think I will just cut, copyy and paste everyone else’s menus from now on…YUM!
The Spinach Feta Pizza sounds amazing! Thank you so much for always posting Menu Plan Mondays.
Hey Laura! Your menu looks great for the week. I haven’t fallen completely off the meal planning wagon; I just haven’t posted forever. I have a minimal one planned this week, but hopefully I will do one with you next week.
You’ll have to start watching in the next several weeks for some major organizing around my house. If you don’t have anything else to do, head on down to Tennessee and help me!
Wow, this is great. I have been meal planning on and off for a while now but this is a great idea, and will hopefully keep me on track. Thanks
Still loving this menu planning. I’ve even convinced a friend to try it too.
I love your blog! I want you to come live with me. I can use your help! 🙂 Menu planning has always been a hobby of mine… I love to see your post each Monday dedicated to it. These menus are a fun read!
This is such a great idea! My first time to enter my own menu to your long list, but I find much inspiration! Thanks for doing this!
wow
I need to join this
I plan dinner three times a week, the rest of the time it’s guess what’s in the freezer or is that container in the back of the fridge from this week?
I will be back!
Jeesh do I need help!
