Menu Plan Monday – Sept 10th
Hello! I’m using my new little Menu Plan smiley guy today. I’m don’t know why but he totally just cracks me up. I’m sure he won’t be for everyone though so please feel free to continue to use any of my Menu Plan banners. They can all be found at the end of this post.
How did everyone’s menus go last week? I found myself having to switch a few things around a few days but it all worked itself out by the end of the week. That’s the beauty of menu planning, it’s totally flexible.
Last week I got the latest issue of What’s Cooking from Kraft Canada in the mail. Since so many of the recipes all look so quick and absolutely delicious I’ve decided to try out SIX of them all in one week! The Kraft Canada site is just awesome and their magazine is even free!
Monday: Layered Enchilada Bake
Tuesday: Roast Pork Tenderloin Supper
Wednesday: Chicken in Creamy Pan Sauce
Thursday: Chicken Berry Spinach Salad

Looks like a yummy week. I especially like the look of the Chicken Berry Spinach Salad.
Delicious.

I think flexibility is the key to menu planning 🙂 !!

WOW!! Look at all the recipes! We’ll definitely have to try some of these out! Thanks so much for hosting and for sharing this week!
Oh I am so in love with enchilada bake! It took me years to make this! All that time I could have been enjoying its yumminess!
Sherry
I have already tried the layered enchilada bake – yum yum yum – I think you will really like it – even my 5 yr old liked it! Let us know how good the other dinners are – Thanks!!
Hi Laura. Thanks for hosting every week…;=)I guess my copy of Kraft Canada is in the mail.I’ll have to try the Broccoli cheese soup.Have a great week.
Mmmm…another great looking menu. The layered enchiladas and broccoli cheddar soup sound especially yum!
This site has helped so much in keeping up with the cooking and knowing what to buy at the store.
I think I saved almost all your recipes this week. Great menu.
What’s Cooking is like the Sears Wishbook for cooks! Although I do still squeal with joy when the Wishbook comes out too.
I think I’m making the rosemary chicken on Friday when I roast a chicken.
Your menu sounds great! I made cheddar biscuits yesterday. They were soooo good and easy to make. I posted them on my site- check ’em out. Have a great week!
i got my Kraft Food & Family magazine this week. i’m not sure if it’s the same as What’s Cooking, but i’m sure it’ll have some great ideas too – once i get a chance to read it! have a great week!

Sounds yummy! I got my copy of the Kraft recipes here in the States this last week. So many recipes look good. Have a great week!
Let us know how the chicken in creamy pan sauce tastes. I think that recipe was in my Kraft America magazine also, and it looked delicious!
The new banner is oh so cute.
It all sounds so delicious…in fact, I just printed out 3 of those recipes! Thanks!
Your menu sounds wonderful…and I loved the little smiley faced guy. I will use him next week…..
Hi,
I am participating for the first time….and actually managed to link!!! This is a pretty big accomplishment for me LOL
Thanks
Niki
At first, I thought it was quite the coincidence that we were both having the Enchilada Bake this week, but then I remembered where it came from and that we both must of got the magazine in the mail last week–I am pretty excited to try out this recipe. Do let me know if it’s a flop 😉
I swear, I made up my menu on Friday, so I wasn’t copying you…..;)
Can someone help me link to a banner for MPM? I am technically challenged and on a big learning curve!!!
Thanks
Niki
Mine’s up. An easy one for me.
Hubby (a chef) told me what to make. All his favourites! 😉
That salad looks faboo. Last week was one of those weeks where the menu got tossed out the window and I mostly remade leftovers rather than cooking anything new. Ah well, at least it was cheap.
I want to come for the soup and biscuits, yum!
I got my Kraft Foods magazine (US edition) and there are some of the same recipes. I am trying one this week too.
I love the new banner! Very cute. 🙂
Broccoli & Cheddar Cheese Soup – Yum! Thanks for the reminder about this one.
Nice to see your (new) smiley face on a Monday morning — Inspiration to try something new in the kitchen, maybe!
Your menu looks great, I am not even going to link mine, because it’s not worth looking out being pretty basic since we are planning for vacation.
I am going to give this a try! Wish me luck!
Mine is up. Please stop by to see a great recipe for chicken salad. I also return all comments. Have a great week!
Yum, I might have to try some of those you posted. My MPM is up for this week. I love the new banner- way too cute!
I finally started my own blog and my friend told me about your site! I love it! I love Menu planning too. Saves me so much money! Thanks!
Look! I’m Number 100! Today was my first post, and I am looking forward to joining you all each week!
TM
I’m excited to be joining you all this week, hopefully things will go as planned. Thanks for such a wonderful blog!
Angela
Well, I was number 100 when I signed up! Oh, well.:-)
Hi Laura,
I can’t get over how successful Menu Planning Monday is! It’s obvious I’m the only one in all of cyberspace who doesn’t plan my menu out for a week at a time. Of course, now that Rob’s not home at night, there’s nothing to plan. LOL
I’ve been catching up over here. I love the adorable smiley faces you’ve found, especially the star.
And I definitely think you should remove the door from that front closet. I’d showcase that system, it’s so great!
It’s always nice to come over here and catch up with you. You inspire me to get busy!
The layered enchilada bake looks too yummy!! I’ll have to try that one. 🙂
Laura,
Your menu plan sounds wonderful! I’ll be trying those cheddar rolls this week. Thanks for sharing and hosting MPM!
Thanks for all the recipes this week!
thanks for hosting. your menu looks yummy this week!
I’m joining in this week! Can’t wait to check out some of the other recipes!
Officially joining this week, after admiring and lurking. Hope I linked properly.
Your page loads up slowly so it’s difficult to click the links and look at recipes, etc. Anyone else have this problem?
I love the new smiley guy!! Great looking menu this week. Isn’t Kraft Foods the best??? Looking forward to hearing which new recipe is your family’s favorite.
Terri, I’ve had a few other people tell me the same thing. I don’t see it from my end. Soon I will be switching to WordPress though so that should hopefully take care of the problem.
Wow! I am number 156!!!! You really have a good response to MPM!!! I am finally back, AGAIN! My mom came to visit and I fell off the horse again. But this week I am climbing back on and getting things back to normal.
I Love the Smiley!!!
Anyway, my menu is up, and after a few tweaks, I will have your link up on my post as well!
Blessings!
Heather
I haven’t started MPM yet — we are moving in 18 days, but I plan on starting it once we get settled in to a routine! I CAN’T WAIT!
I too recieved the Kraft cataloge — the US version — some of the same recipes, I think.
I agree that many of the recipes in this edition look easy and YUMMY!!
The holiday is over – back at it! =-)
Ack, I’m late this week– I usually plan on Sundays! Anyways, I posted my plan with WW points. Now I’m off to check out others’ menus while supper bakes! 🙂
#160? Holy Smokes Laura! I’m going to have to get on this way sooner! ;v)
What an awesome idea! I had so much fun looking at everyone’s menus and making my own. Thank you!
what a fun blog you have. I am in the middle of organizing my scrap room, so I chose your blog to feature on Todays Creative Blog!
Make sure to tell all your readers about your feature! They’ll be so excited.

Hi!
I actually just got my copy of Kraft food and family(I think its the US version of Whats Cooking) on Friday. I am going to look through and have my dh pick some recipes out for when he is home. Your menu looks great btw.
Thanks to your inspiration of menu planning, I have found that my grocery costs is lower- we eat healthier- and the kids love kowing what is ahead.
I keep the weekly menu posted on stationary in the kitchen. HOW FUN!
If your interested, my menu is always displayed on my blog’s side bar. Just scroll down a little!
Thank you!!!
I love it that you always link to your recipes so we can try them too! Thanks 🙂
I did it…fnally got your page to load properly so i could get the banner…only about 51 hours AFTER I posted my menu…but I am LINKED and will be from now on!
hugs
Thanks for posting your menu and links to the recipes. I am always looking for something new to cook.
This is a great idea and something that I try to accomplish but it never fails that I buy a bunch of extra items at the grocery store and never use them. I am going to try this and see if it works out better for me. Thanks again
Kraft Foods magazine is one of my favorites…. especially with fall time quickly approaching. 🙂
