To market, to market….

In an effort to make myself feel better about all this snow, I went to town this afternoon for some “retail therapy”. To some of you that might mean clothes or even shoes, to me it means a nice new shiny container of course! I get excited just thinking about it.

Except I didn’t buy a nice new pretty container….oh no……instead I bought these:

….yep that’s right….two sunhats and a box of 30 popsicles!!!

Good grief….and I wonder why I’m not feeling any better?? I mean, sheesh, why didn’t I just go all out and purchase the gargantuan size of sunscreen while I was at it.

Clearly the type of therapy I need is not of the “retail” variety!

  1. I would’ve done the exact same thing! Although I was kind of hoping you had a new shiny container that I’ve never heard of so I’d have to rush out any buy it too 😉 This snow sucks, the best we can do is make it feel Springy indoors! Have a great weekend! =)

  2. I don’t know…you could always turn the heat of super high for just one afternoon, dress in shorts and sunhats and eat popsicles. =P

  3. Here’s to hoping for Springtime in Canada!

    Love those hats!
When does spring usually come your way?

  4. Oh girl, I feel ya. I do. I’m so ready for the pool and the beach I can almost taste the salt water.

  5. heeheehee……someone is definitely longing for spring! If it’s any consolation, those of us who never see the stuff, long for snow.

  6. The snow is still coming down so I think I may just have to do that…then those popsicles will really come in handy! Yum!

  7. What a hoot!

When I lived up north I would have loved to do something like this. I used to sit where the sun would come through the windows and put on my sunglasses and just dream about being on a beach.LOL.

Next time you hit the store, get that lotion – the smell would probably be some GREAT aromatherapy!!LOL

  8. LOL you are too funny, Laura! I think it was a great idea to purchase your summer items! It’s definitely a great way to put your imagination to work!
    Have a great weekend!

  9. I love the idea that you had to get thru the idea of it being cold with the snow. What an inspiring way of looking at things.

  10. I am going to take in some retail therapy today. I need coffee (desperately) and want to stop in Old Navy for some basic t-shirts that they have on sale.

Here’s hoping for some warmer weather for you.

  11. Geez, Laura. I think maybe you have a touch of the spring fever. LOL. You know, you could have bought a cool container to put these summery little items in.

Girl, you’ve got it bad! I actually believe you when you say nothing makes you happier than a new container. 🙂

  12. Makes me shiverrrrr looking at the pics of all the snow up your way. I positively could not survive anywhere north of the Mason-Dixon line!!! I’m a southern girl and am cold if it’s 70 degrees outside.

New to your site, clicked on it because I consider myself an organized junkie too!!! Hope you’ll visit me back and I look forward to checking in on you often!
