Hey Ladies!!I hope everyone had a great weekend! I’ve eaten many a popsicle and managed to convince myself that despite the snow, spring just has to be right around the corner!!!
Last week, a reader posted a question about whether or not I knew of any recipe websites that allow you to enter a list of the ingredients you have on hand in order to come up with a matching menu. I know Kraft Canada allows you to put in up to three ingredients you have and it will provide a list of matching recipes from which you could then make a menu plan out of. I believe Allrecipes does the same thing. If anyone knows of some other great sites, please share in the comments. Thanks!
My menu:
Monday: Tasty Italian Chicken served with rice and carrots
Tuesday: Spaghetti Pie served with garlic toast and spinach salad
Wednesday: Pork Chops with Dijon Sauce served with roasted dill potatoes and broccoli
Thursday: Leftovers
Friday: Black Bean Quesadillas (Light & Tasty July 06 Pg 7)
I’ll also be making this awesome loaf of Whole Wheat Bread again in my bread machine. I got the recipe from DeeDee over at It Coulda’ Been Worse and it is so yummy and healthy!!

I love the Spring button. I actually won a button design from Proverbs 31 during the Ultimate Blog Party and I am super excited for it.
Great menu. We are going to try the Hawaiian Chicken Bake in our house this week.
JennaG says
My family loves spaghetti pie. And how nice of Proverbs 31 to make that for you–how talented and thoughtful! Thanks for the recipe websites–that could be very helpful! Have a great week!
Proverbs31 says
Mmmmm. That Italian Chicken sounds really great. I may have to try that soon. I’m in the mood for Italian after watching “Everyday Italian” on Food Network today. 😉
gail says
That’s a good tip about putting in ingredients at those websites and it shows you matching recipes! Will have to try that.
Becky says
Hey Laura! I know Allrecipes lets you do the ingredient search and even lets you put in what you don’t want! I use that site the most so I’m not sure of others (except Kraft)! I, too, love the Spring button!!! Your menu sounds tasty this week! And, we tried the Sweet Aromatic Chicken this past week…yummy! Have a great week!
Amy says
RecipeZaar is my favorite recipe site, and my homepage! You can enter an ingredient in the search bar, then when you get the results, you use the “recipe sifter” to “sift” by additional ingredients or categories. It’s great! http://www.recipezaar.com

Hi Laura
That button is very cute!!!!
How interesting – here I am on the other side of the world counting down the days to cooler weather (we’re going into autumn now).
My favourite season is winter so the minute it starts cooling down is all good for me!!! Love dressing up in gloves, scarves, coats, etc… Yes, I know I’m weird!
Have a great week!
Kelleigh says
Hehee! We’re getting the first chilly autumn (fall) nights here – which is reminding me of how cold winter can be – so I guess I’m dreaming of spring too!
IRENE says
Hello,
Calling for spring, too, although we did not experience too much of a winter over here.
Spaghetti pie looks promising . I’ll try it with minced soy and will let you know!
Have a lovely week!

My mom used to make spaghetti pie, I had forgotten about that. I’ll have to make it again. Love the spring button, spring in here, should be in the 80s all week – we are hoping the pool warms up enough to let the kiddos in this weekend 🙂 Have a great day!
Linsey says
Well, I have never heard of Spaghetti Pie! I will have to try it!

Hi Laura!
The black bean quesadillas sound DELICIOUS! I love black beans, unfortunately, my guys do not. I wonder if there is a way I could disguise the black beans? lol
Have an excellent week!

Hey Laura, Those Pork chops look good. I’m hoping that I will have my basement craft room from the 30 day org challenge finally done after this weekend. I have removed a lot of stuff from that room. A lto got tossed and some (like my Christmas decorations) got taken to a storage unit we rented for selling the house.

YIKES! I realized after you were so kind as to leave me a comment that I didn’t do so for yoU!
I’ve been envying your Menu Plan Mondays after seeing it on other blogs and decided to get myself into putting it on the computer, thereby referencing it later, you know? Anyway, thanks for this great thing! I can’t wait to get more ideas from others. I like new recipes.
FWIW, I also envy your organizing skills. I’m gonna hang out more and see if it rubs off any…
Litzinger says
Wow, I am late this week. REALLY late. Sorry about that, but I still wanted to link so my friends can come on over and check out all the great ideas. Have a good week and I will be better next week (I hope). ;o)
