Winter Wonderland around here……

Well I am certainly looking forward to some downtime. Have a look at what I’m hopefully going to be doing over the holidays:

Gee do you think I’ve gotten a little behind in my magazine reading? I so enjoy relaxing with a good magazine and I’ve built myself up a nice little stack thanks mostly to friends and family. My Fall into Reading Challenge was a bust….that’s right….I didn’t finish one of the non-fiction books on my list. I did read a number of fiction books though but can’t even remember the names of them now to be honest. Apparently non-fiction just isn’t my thing, I guess I’m smart enough as is….lol.

I wanted to include some photos here of our Winter Wonderland that is my front yard. I just took these this morning. So many of you commented on the snow in my Christmas Tour of Homes pictures that I thought you might enjoy seeing a few more. I’d be glad to share some snow with you all, as you can see we have plenty to go around 🙂

I want to wish all my blogging friends a very Merry Christmas…the ones I feel I know and the ones I have yet to “meet”!

It has been a joy getting to know you!

Many blessings for 2007!

  1. Thanks for sharing the snow! I haven’t seen snow like that since the last big snow we got in South Texas in January of 1985. WOW!

    Merry Christmas and God bless!

  2. Where are the kids? Tied up?

My kids can not stand to see undisturbed snow!

(we only get it once a year usually…none last year at all)

    Merry Christmas!

  3. LOL! I managed to get out there to take the pictures before they were even up today but about an hour later they were out there sliding down the “hill” having the time of their lives! They do enjoy it much more than I do that is for sure 🙂

  4. Your white Christmas is beautiful, Laura. Merry Christmas to you and your family, too. It’s been such a pleasure to meet you this year. Makes me look forward to 2007 all that much more.

  5. Hi Laura, Did you see last night the snowflakes were as big as saucers. The three kids went on the hay ride for the winter solstice thing and they took them all the way up the hill and down again. they were soaked but they had fun. We must have had about 1 foot or so of the white crap hey. Gee I wish it would stop. I baked all afternoon, it is so nice to have an oven that cooks evenly. Our first Xmas in our new house. I hope that you, hubby and the three kids have a great Xmas. If you feel the need to rent a Nana just give me a call ok. We are going to drive around and look at lights tonight. Take care Sue

  6. Hi Sue! We did the hayride thing last night too…it was so much fun!! Santa even came with us! What a great idea to rent a Nana…love it! I might just have to take you up on it.
    All the best,
    Laura

  8. Reading is such a great thing to do, so as long as you are reading and enjoying what you are reading, feel happy with what you have accomplished. And who says we can’t learn new vocab and other things from fiction books 🙂 ?!?

    Merry Christmas!

  9. a stack of magazines , a pot of coffee and a quiet house- now that’s a christmas gift to me!

  11. Yeah, you’re plenty smart as is!!

I hope you have many hours to sit and read all those magazines. I stopped most of my subscriptions. Too much pressure, lol.

    Enjoy your stack of magazines!!

  13. I am so one up on you with the magazines. I will try to post a picture of mine soon. Just so you can see how out of control I am! Hope you have had a great holiday. And BRRR, the pictures make me shiver! We just got out of the sixties here like two days ago!

  14. These are beautiful pictures. I live in Hawaii so I kind of miss a white Christmas so I really enjoyed looking at yours.

Your magazine pile looks like mine. Like you I would probably not get to the books on my list so I didn’t even attempt the challenge. Maybe next time.
