Thirteen reasons to convince my husband to let me buy this awesome bookshelf with storage compartments galore:

  1. It would make me very very happy!
  2. It is sooo beautiful…..a piece of art really…I mean look at it…who wouldn’t want to own this beauty!
  3. It’s on sale this week at Canadian Tire for $169.99!
  4. It could hold all my scrapbook stuff!
  5. It would also look great in our office!
  6. It would give me something to do on Saturday night so he could watch hockey uninterrupted!
  7. It would stop the voices in my head that say “I must have this!”
  8. It would make me a much better wife!
  9. It definitely would make me a much better mother!
  10. I’d allow him to have a least one shelf for his junk papers
  11. I’d never need to buy another shelf again (okay fingers crossed on this one)
  12. I wouldn’t buy any more shoes for the rest of the year!
  13. I’d have a friend for life! Please help my cause….can you think of anymore for me?

  1. Isn’t that the best!! You should remind him that Christmas is coming…this would make it much easier to shop for you.

  2. I think those are all totally valid reasons, and you really DO need it 🙂 Maybe if you offered him 2 shelves instead of one, that might push him over the edge!!!

Hope you get it soon (and don’t have to go on that shoe ban too!) 🙂

  3. Lord woman it’s only October.. are you POSITIVE you could go without shoes for 2.5 whole months? I mean you’re gonna need Christmas and NYE shoes aren’t you??? the rest of the year???? seriously???

As for the shelves… well you really only need to make one promise but I’m too much of a lady (snort) to say what it is 😉

  4. You crack me up! Hey, if you buy it and don’t like it, I’ll take it off your hands…way over in The States. 😉 Hee hee! Just kidding. It looks wonderful!

  5. Laura, I swear on the bible, that I had done a BTW and mentioned that organizer for you a couple of posts ago but decided to delete that part of the comment!!
I think we are going to buy it for the computer room, it really would organize my life a lot!
And…I thought of you, Shari, and my mom (all organizers) as I organized my one cupboard with baskets yesterday.
You all would be proud of me…

  6. That pic is poetry. I am seriously going through withdrawal pulling away from this site! And I just found you!LOL!!

  7. Because he can have the canadian tire money he gets when HE pays for it lol…it’s stunning. In face *I* was looking at it for my cross stitch stuff too…but alas I have too many kids and not enuf space to put it!

  8. Oh, horrors, my heart stopped when I saw you’d give up shoes for a year. But I reread it and saw it was for the rest of this year. Well, that could be doable! Maybe.

Hope he says ok. It’s beautiful. Wish I had an office to put it in! :v)

  9. Those are all great reasons! Really a beautiful organizer….can’t wait to see pictures when you get it!

  10. But what would you do with the armoire you already have in that room – where would it go?

    Mom

  11. Ah yes….does the reason that I already have shelves for these things mean I won’t be getting this fabulous piece of art…yep probably not. So sad…

  12. Hey I totally want this shelf too I love it I asked Kev if he could build one for me but thought it would be cheaper to buy so you could tell him how much work and money it would be to build it himself that might help it along. I hope you get it so I can come drool over it.

  13. Tell him its an early Christmas present…….I would suggest something else but this is a Christian blog…..get my drift???? Something to do with BED.
    Hope you get it.

  14. You’re into scrapbooking too? I was thinking of my scrapbook stuff when I saw the picture.

    It is so cool!

  15. You can tell him that you will stop asking him for it if you can just go buy it. Also, you work very hard doing his laundry, cooking his meals and taking care of the house and kids…Doesn’t he think you deserve it?
That’s what works with my husband.
