Some great things are coming up soon in blogville that I’m excited about and wanted to share with you.
Each Tuesday starting next week, Kat from Kat’s Korner will be hosting “Train up Your Child Tuesday”. ….a place to share favorite child rearing tips, family traditions, helpful resources, memories, family scriptures and activities. We all know parenting is the toughest job out there and here is a great opportunity to help and support each other. I am looking forward to gleaning some wisdom from other moms especially if someone can tell me how to fit in a shower in the mornings with a nine month old that won’t sit still or be contained in any way…..MUST have shower!! Head on over to Kat’s and say you’ll participate!
Second is “Fall into Reading” hosted by Katrina at Callapidder Days. Katrina is challenging us to a little goal-directed reading. On September 21st she will add a Mr. Linky to her blog so you can submit your link to your own Fall into Reading Challenge. I for one know I have a stack of books on my nightstand that I’ve been meaning to read. This is just the challenge I need.
Have a great weekend everyone and remember don’t agonize, organize!!!!!

Hi Laura,
Thanks for the info. I am going to be a stay home dad soon and I am getting really excited and nervous about it. Do you know of any blogs for stay home dads?
P.S. I love your blog! Very informative and entertaining. Do you write a column for a newspaper or magazine? If not you should!!!
Keep it up.

To the anonymous soon to be SAHD, I’m sure that you could google that and you’d come up with a match.
Laura–My answer to getting anything done with young ones is get up earlier. May not be what you wanted to hear. . . .

Laura – Thanks for spreading the word about the reading challenge!
And I hear you about the shower. I think the key is learning how to take a 2-minute shower and be willing to take it whenever said child briefly falls asleep! At least, that’s the method I’ve been attempting to use with a 3-month-old in the house.

The thing with the shower is I can’t do it first thing because I walk every morning at 8:30 so I really NEED to shower AFTER my walk (if you know what I mean) and before I pick the older two up for lunch.
