Hey friends, happy Friday!! I really haven’t got a whole lot of anything done around the house this week, what with my three day migraine and then yesterday having to drive into the city for a medical appt for my son. However I do like seeing the positive in all circumstances and so the plus side of having to drive into the city two hours away is that there are stores upon stores to shop at and this girl loves to shop. I was able to spend some time at one my favorite stores, Winners (think Marshalls), and finally found a pair of white pants! I’ve been wanting a pair for so long but the practical boring non-fashionista side of me just kept talking me out of it. However, I’ve been reading Jo-Lynne’s blog with regards to all things fashion and she helped me decide that now was the time to throw caution to the wind and purchase me a pair of white jeans, whoot! So happy I found some (with built in slimming features too!), that weren’t see-through and were only $34 which is really the reason I just love Winners in the first place. Plus I may have also purchased a BLUSH pink purse as well. It totally called my name, I had to do it. Let’s just say that this may be the first time ever that my style might be ON POINT, ha!
I totally didn’t even get a chance to look around at all the housewares and organizing goodness because well two boys had decided by that point that they couldn’t take any more of my excitement about being in a big city store and the fact that I felt it necessary to point out, hold up and gush about every single little thing I saw. Oops, I just couldn’t help myself. I know all you small town girls can understand where I’m coming from!
So I still hold out hope today that I might get a little something done around here but the sun is shining so by getting something done I just might mean pulling out the deck furniture and having a nice refreshing glass of iced tea on it. Mmmm, who’s with me? I’m such an enabler aren’t I?
I think this post has become all about how little it really takes to me happy! White pants, blush purse and iced tea, now that’s a good life right there 🙂
So if my rambling on above hasn’t been distraction enough for you from getting your chores done today, here are a few of my favorite organizing links from this past week to help you procrastinate even more get stuff done.

Well I haven’t worn them yet so the verdict is still out on how I’ll do with them lol

What brand are the jeans? I’ve been afraid to try white, too!

They are Jones of New York ankle length jeans. I wore them today and loved them!

Hi Laura,
Loved your post. So personal and so real for a lot of us who lament over what to wear as we get older. I love wearing white. I have a pair of white jeans, white shorts and a denim white skirt that I wear a lot when the weather gets warmer. The colour goes with so many things! Thank you so much for including my how to pack an organized travel handbag in your weekly favs. I know you are planning a trip to PEI so hopefully these tips will help. Take care!

Thanks Thea, I’m an over packer but over the last couple of years I’ve gotten better about paring down what I bring. I’ve only done one trip before with just a carry on but hoping to do it again when we go to PEI. I use a Lug bag for my “purse” along with my carry on and it’s such a great bag for travel. I should definitely do a post on how I pack it for a trip, thanks for the inspiration!!
