in Menu Plan Monday

christmas

Hi everyone!  Sorry for the delay tonight.  How was your week?  I hope things are going smoothly for you and not too stressful.

I normally don’t do any extravagant Christmas baking but I do like to give the gift of goodies to teachers and friends once and awhile.  Last week my friend Tanna, at Complete Organizing Solutions,  posted about some very different cookies that she assured me were very yummy.  I say different because they are made with Ritz crackers, peanut butter and chocolate AND didn’t require any baking.  That certainly got my attention!  I made up a batch yesterday and I have to say they were surprising delicious and so easy to make which always gets me super excited that is for sure.  Not even I could mess these babies up :)

Easy Peanut Butter Cracker Cookies

Also if you are looking for a quick and easy potluck dish, I highly recommend this festive Appetizer Wreath:

Isn’t that pretty and fun?!  And also very easy to throw together, yay!

Okay so on my menu this week…all family favorites!

Monday: Homemade Mac & Cheese

Tuesday: Slow Cooker Dilled Pot Roast

Wednesday: Pizza Pancakes

Thursday: Leftover buffet

Friday: Mexican Style Ravioli Bake

Saturday: Slow Cooker Sweet Aromatic Chicken

Simple Supper Sunday

WHAT’S ON YOUR MENU THIS WEEK?

Those peanut butter cookies are THE BEST!! A friend just made them at our cookie exchange; they taste so much like Nutter Butter cookies, if you’ve had those.

When I entered my link, I wrote “one week+” however, the “+” sign didn’t show up, so it just looks like I wrote “one week!” with a big exclamation mark. How funny!! :) Maybe everyone will think I’m a brand-new menu planner and am just so excited that I planned for “one week!” :)

I’m glad you liked the cookies Laura! They are always a hit especially when I mention no baking! :) The perfect cookies for me.

Cheryl, they do taste similar to Nutter Butters. My husband had a Christmas party on Friday night and they had a chocolate fountain with stacks of Nutter Butter’s next to it for dipping. I was in heaven!

I think that my own Christmas baking has gotten a little out of control.

I’ve had the biggest craving for homemade mac & cheese since Saturday. But alas, it was not to be for me this week.

Enjoy yours! =)

The pizza pancakes look like the perfect light dinner or lunch for the family – the picky boys will even eat them I’m betting.

The appetizer wreath is so pretty! That would be great for our next holiday party. Thanks, as always, for the wonderful ideas.

I see we both thought homemade macaroni and cheese would be good tonight. ;) We are currently eating mostly vegetarian and I’m on the lookout for new recipes. The Mexican-style Ravioli looks really good and all I will have to change is substitute vegetable broth for the beef broth.

The Ritz cookies look yummy. Years ago I had a recipe for Girl Scout style mint cookies, using Ritz. They were delicious, and easy to make. Now I want some! Off to google the recipe…

Love that wreath appetizer–it looks delicious and oh so festive! I may need to make it for my family’s early Christmas celebration coming up this weekend. We’ll be needing some snacks to munch on after our “big” meal early in the day. Love your new blog redesign too!

Glad to hear these taste good. Check out these cute snowman cookies using the dipped Ritz with peanut butter. I’m making them for my daughter’s kindergarten class this week and was debating between using the Ritz/peanut butter or Oreos instead. Based on your suggestion, I think I’ll give the original recipe a try! http://www.tasteofhome.com/Recipes/Snowman-Treats?cpi=2&sort=2

My grandma has made those peanut butter cookies for as long as I can remember. They are a Christmas tradition in our family. LOVE them with milk chocolate (although white chocolate is ok too)!!!
