Menu Plan Monday ~ Nov 3rd + giveaway

Updated to add: The winner of the MPM giveaway is Mamma D of FairyBread. Congratulations!!

Hello everyone!  I’m coming to you today from the eastern coast sitting in a comfy chair at my mommy’s house!  I made it here without incident and my son traveled so well, praise God.  So, as I’m sure you can understand, I’m not planning a menu myself this week but I do have much to share with you today starting with the Chicken Soup with Tortellini and Cheese recipe I made last week.  It was so delicious!  If you are looking for a fast and easy recipe it was yummy, yummy, yummy!

Last week I was emailing with Amy from Mom’s Toolbox and we were talking about freezer meals.  She wants to prepare some meals now to put away for the upcoming busy Christmas season to make life a little easier.  As this is something I’ve not done a lot of myself I’m interested in learning more as is Amy.  I’m guessing there are probably others interested as well.  So I’m thinking what I’d like to do is compile a list of links that explain a little bit more about how to go about it with maybe some great freezer meal recipes included.  If you have something like that on your site and would like to be included in my link fest could you please send me an email with the link and put “freezer meals” in the subject line for me.  That would be great, thanks!

Next up I have to tell you all about For the Love of Pie.  If you are interested in pie recipes or in learning more about making pie then you are in for a FREE treat.  Since I have always been too scared to venture into pie making from scratch I was thrilled to get my hands on this resource.  My blogging friend Laura from Heavenly Homemakers has compiled a fantastic ebook called For the Love of Pie, filled with 31 tried and true pie recipes, and is giving it away for FREE!  Be sure to head on over and download a copy for yourself.

Finally because my last giveaway was so much fun, I’m holding another one today just for you faithful menu planners.  It’s my way of saying thank you to you for coming around here week after week and joining me in such an important household task.  It makes it so much more fun to have company and I really do appreciate each and every one of you.   One lucky participant is going to receive a Little Lily and Card Cubby set from Lily On the Fly!

This most excellent menu planning resource has recently combined forces with the Card Cubby company, both of which I’ve mentioned around here before.  It’s a great partnership designed to help you organize a weekly food plan AND your coupons all in one place.  I also think this would make a great gift.  If you are interested in purchasing a set, Lily On the Fly is also offering a coupon code just for my readers.  Enter OrgJunkie4Lily at checkout and get 20% off your order.  The code is good through to the end of December.

To be eligible to win one set today all you have to do is link up to your Menu Plan Monday post below as usual by Tuesday at 12:00 noon EST and I’ll draw a winner by random shortly after.  Good luck!

Whew told you we had a lot to talk about today…lol.  Have a great week everyone, I know I will :)

I’ve also wondered are ladies all across America waiting until 3am to post their links???

I’m so glad you made it home…how nice to be with mom. I know you look forward to this nice trip.
I would be interested in looking at the freezer recipes and learning more about it too. I dont know anything about it…I can freeze a chicken pot pie…but that is normally it…it would be nice to pull something out fast and thaw and heat up or even just throw into the oven…keep us posted and enjoy your visit.

OOhh!! I am working on a blog posting about making meals to freeze. There is a group of moms I’m in that do this once a month, and then we have 15 main courses ready to pull out of the freezer! I LOVE IT! So, I’ll get on the ball with that this week:)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your site! It has helped my family tremendously. It’s not just that the menu planning has helped kept me sane (well as sane as you can be with 3 boys aged 8, 4, & 2) but it has helped us financially. THANK YOU!!!

I need to be better like you in planning my meals but I tend to do it on the spur of the moment. I love this site and have gained so many new ideas for organizing and have gotten some wonderful recipes from it. Do you mind if I put a link on my blog to you in a post? I wanted to let people know more ways to organize. I’ll be doing the post in a week or so. Thanks in advance if this is okay! Cindy

Have such a great time with your family! Glad your little guys did well on the trip.

Freezer meal info would be helpful. I have a few that I know I can always make, but sometimes it’s nice to get new ideas, or tips on how to make the meals turn out better, etc. It definitely is a good time of year to have just a few extra meals put aside!

Hope you’re having a good time! Thanks for the chance to enter the cool giveaway.

Our oven/stove went kaput last night so we will rely on grill and microwave this week. Fun!
