Menu Plan Monday ~ June 9th
Welcome to another week! Starting the week off on an organized foot sure does feel great doesn’t it! The highlight to my weekend was finding out I’d won a $50.00 Amazon gift card from a contest Lynnae of beingfrugal.net had going on! I was thrilled because I have a book wish list a mile long, so many choices, so much excitement! Beingfrugal.net is a fairly new blog for me but I’m enjoying it very much.
Speaking of being frugal I wanted to let you know about a workshop that the girls over at BeCentsAble are running. It’s an online workshop set up for those of you wanting a step by step guide to cutting your household budget by shopping ‘centsably’. The cost of the workshop is regularly $20.00 but anyone who signs up today gets a special Org Junkie rate of $15.00. I am in love with their colorful, fun AND organized new design!!
I also have to be sure to tell you about the AWESOME dish I made last week:
This recipe tasted just like fried chicken but without all the fat. It really was crispy and the chicken was moist and oh my heavens it was good! It was also yummy served cold the next day for lunch 🙂
Need some menu planning help?
Tomorrow is the last day to enter the Lily On The Fly giveaway taking place over on my review site. Have you entered yet? If not you can do so by heading on over to Org Junkie’s Product Reviews.
Okay moving right along. On our menu for the week is:
Monday: Fajitas
Tuesday: Garlic Chicken Spaghetti*
Wednesday: Chicken Caesar Sandwiches
Thursday: Pork Chops with Gravy* served with fries and broccoli
Friday: Grilled Teriyaki Steak served with baked potatoes and carrots
Saturday: Potluck dinner with friends ~ I’ll be bringing Greek Macaroni Salad
* these recipes not yet available on the Taste of Home website. I will post recipes next week if they turn out.

Congrats on the gift card win! What a fun way to kick off the summer!!
Congratulations on the $50 gift card.
Thank you for the review of the baked chicken. I will have to use it the next time we have a craving for fried chicken, although with the way the temperature’s been lately, I’m not sure that I’d want to turn on the oven to make it. 😉 I’ll have to cut it down to make it for us in our toaster oven. Your menu looks yummy!
Congratulations on your win! It’s my first time posting my menu plan. Pretty boring, but when you have a house full of fussy eaters it’s challenging! I look forward to trying the tried-and-true recipes shared by everyone. Thanks so much for doing this!
Thanks again for the wonderful recipe tips! I can’t wait to try that garlic chicken spaghetti. Yum Yum
That menu sounds so good – I might just steal it! I love keeping a menu plan but it is always hard to find new stuff to make that doesn’t break the bank AND pleases the family.
I adore fried chicken but it is such a mess to cook. I’ll have to give your recipe a try one of these days.
Last week was easier due to my menu being planned. Thanks for hosting!
Week 2 of meal planning! I found lots of inspiration from all the yummy menus linked! 🙂
