Hi friends! I hope you all had a great weekend. My husband and I were looking for something to do on Saturday and decided to hit up a greenhouse “just to look”. You know where this is going don’t you? Of course we couldn’t resist. So many beautiful flowers everywhere we looked! After such a long winter, I’m so anxious to see some color. Here’s the problem though. We live (in northern Canada) where it’s still too cold to leave the flowers out all night long. So now guess what this girl gets to do for the next three or so weeks? Yep move them out of the house during the day to get some sun and back in again at night to keep them warm. I’ll be tripping over them but oh well at least my dining room will look pretty. Gosh I envy all of you that are already experiencing beautiful hot weather. Have you planted flowers yet?
Here’s what we’ll be eating for dinner this week.
My Weekly Menu Plan:
Monday: Korean Ground Beef (with some substitutions) served over rice for some and in a lettuce wrap for me
Tuesday: Warm Spinach Salad with Bacon Mushroom Vinaigrette
Wednesday: Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Chicken served with fries and raw veggies
Thursday: Leftover buffet
Friday: Pizza Party Friday Night with bread machine pizza dough and for me Paleo Sheet Pan Pizza
Saturday: Whole 30 Fried Pork Chops served with corn on the cob
Sunday: Happy Mother’s Day! Not sure what we’ll be having but I’m not cooking 🙂
Have a wonderful week everyone!!

Oh that greenhouse struggle is real. Next week is the offical time when we’re past hard freezing weather, and can finally set out cold sensitive plants. But, like you, I couldn’t resist the visits just to see and smell the flowers, and came home with a few things I’ve been babying inside/outside for a couple of weeks!
Happy spring!

There is always the fear of waiting too long to buy because I think I’ll miss out on all the good stuff 🙂

Still chilly here also, we did get our rhubarb into the ground, this morning there was frost on the leaves…
I love rhubarb. We used to have a huge plant at our old house. I miss it!

Yup – tomato and lettuce plants sitting on my dinning room table until….?? Have not been brave enough to look at flowers yet. Ah, gardening in Canada!
So true, the struggle is real lol.
