Hi my happy menu planners. We had another weekend full of soccer and I’m wiped right out. Cheering is hard work y’all! As you can imagine, sitting down to plan my weekly menu was the last thing I wanted to do last night. But I would have set myself up for a very disorganized week if I hadn’t. So I pushed through my tiredness and got it done. I know myself well enough to know that had I not done it, I would have been scrambling to get dinner on the table every night. And ain’t nobody got time for that!
Whether you write up your menu plan on a sticky note or add it to a fancy (yet inexpensive!) menu planner like the one below, you’ll be so glad that you took the time to do it.
Remember that your menu doesn’t need to be complicated. Keep your recipes simple and have your groceries on hand. You’ll be all set to get dinner on the table each night with less stress and chaos.
This week is my husband and I’s 25 year wedding anniversary (32 years together!). Unfortunately he has to work late all week so we’ll have to put off our celebrating until another time. Oh well. One thing being married this long has taught me is not to let little things like this bother me. We’ll celebrate eventually and it will be great.
Here’s what we’ll be eating for dinner this week.
My Weekly Menu Plan:
Monday: Crispy Baked Chicken Thighs served with tossed salad
Tuesday: Creamy Potato and Ham Soup
Wednesday: Cajun Shrimp & Sausage Vegetable Sheet Pan
Thursday: Leftover buffet
Saturday: All Meat and Veggie Chili
Sunday: YOYO (you’re on your own!)
Have a wonderful week everyone!!
