Hi friends! Happy New Year to you all. It’s that time of the year where already busy people like to add more to their plates by way of goals and resolutions. Now I’m not saying setting goals is a terrible thing, not at all. However setting goals and hoping space in your day suddenly frees up to actually accomplish them is where the problem lies. We need to be intentional about how we get to our desired outcomes and perhaps even more importantly, realistic about the time we have available to make them happen.
One of the best ways I know to do that for myself is to understand why I want to make a change in the first place and then schedule into my calendar the applicable action steps. If it’s truly important to me, I have to carve out the necessary space in my day for it.
If organization is one of your goals this year (yay!), then the same principle applies. You need to schedule in the time to do it otherwise it’s so easy to get busy and distracted with other things. I know how these things go because believe me it happens to me all the time.

Creating Habits:
Calendars are such a great habit building tool as are habit trackers especially when it comes to routines. To understand more about building habits and to grab a free printable habit tracker please be sure to check out my post on 7 Daily Habits for an Organized Home.
For now let me leave you with this to consider:
I’m organized because I am disciplined. I’m disciplined because I have routines in place. I have routines in place because I developed habits. This might indeed be the secret to an organized life.
I hope that this year is your most organized year yet. You’ve totally got this!!
Let me know if you have any questions and/or please share in the comments what your specific organizing goals are. I’m here to help but it’s so much easier when I have feedback from my lovely readers.
If you enjoyed this post, please consider sharing it with your friends. Thank you!
