I got so much great feedback when I shared my Everyday Healthy Green Smoothie recipe on the blog. It really is so yummy and I’m so glad you liked it too! Many of you have been asking if I could share some of my other favorite smoothie recipes. So yay today I finally had a chance to sit down and write up a post sharing my delicious Cherry Pineapple Green Smoothie recipe. This one is awesome because not only does it taste amazing, it’s a green smoothie that isn’t actually green in color. This might be super helpful if you’ve got kids who won’t drink a green drink but you still want to get greens into them.
These steps are for making one large glass as shown above. If you need more just double up on the ingredients. In fact don’t worry if your measurements aren’t exact or anything, I never really measure. I’ve added more or less of the ingredients at times and it still tasted delicious.
Start by adding one cup of water to your blender and then add about 2 cups of spinach to it. Blend this first before adding any other ingredients as it makes a huge difference to getting a smoother better blended smoothie. Blend that together until you see the color of green go lighter.
Then add about a cup (give or take) of frozen cherries, a cup (give or take) frozen pineapple along with 1/2 of a banana to the blender.
Blend it all up until there are no more chunks. Pour yourself a tall glass, drink up and enjoy!
Yum, yum, yum.
So easy and such a great way to get those greens in every day. I love messing around with different combinations of fruit and veggies but of course not all of them are winners. This one is definitely a winner though in my book.
Let me know what you think of it 🙂 And if you love it, please share this post with others. Thanks!
