January Month End Recap & Chat

Well here we are at the end of January, that went fast didn’t it? Okay fess up, how many of you resolved to get organized in 2017? How far did you get? Have you given up? I’m really curious because I really like to provide content here that can help you. Do you have a whole house to tackle and are overwhelmed with the magnitude of it all or are you just wanting to maximize storage space and systems already in place? Let me know, don’t be shy.

I told you on Friday that I wanted to get my Paleo recipe book set up and organized and I am happy to say that I did get that done so I feel better about that. Now I can focus on my next organizing project which will be my closet. My closet always seems to take a beating especially with my unpredictable health. At the end of the night when I’m tired, I tend to just toss things in to deal with later. This is a recipe for disaster with any space. Taking two minutes to put my clothes away each night saves me so much time in the long run. Can you relate? It’s the same with paper piles, dishes, etc. So over the next couple of days I’m going to do a closet reset and an overall clothes purge. What area needs a reset in your home?

And don’t use lack of storage as an excuse because you can still get organized by looking for storage that might be right there in front of you. Or it might just come down to purging until it fits!

Sometimes the storage you need is right there in front of you

Just remember that life doesn’t have to be perfect to be wonderful.

Life doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful

Progress always over perfection!

You wanted feedback on our organizing resolutions. I’ve resolved to again clean and reorganize my office/workout/studio. It’s an ongoing struggle because it’s a small room and I hesitate to get rid of my L-shaped desk because my husband had it made for me and I really love it. But it’s BIG!! I tackled the smaller things like clean/organize in the kitchen. It was really more of a recharge for the kitchen but I took two days off work and got it done in one! Happy, Happy!! The office/workout/studio is ongoing, I’m almost done with the paperwork that I allowed to pile up but so very close.
