Hey friends, I know many of you in the US are busy preparing for Thanksgiving so we are going to keep this week’s task on the simple side. It’s all about stocking up and organizing gift wrap supplies. Fun!
But first let’s go over what we’ve accomplished so far:
Task #1: Set up gift planner app and budget
Task #2: Find and organize gift storage space
Task #3: Set up a holiday planner
Task #4: Giftster Wish List app
Task #5: Christmas cards
Task #6: Organizing and cleaning
Assignment #7: Gift Wrap Supplies
What a difference it makes when you have a fully stocked gift wrap station prepped and ready to go. The last thing you need to be worrying about amidst the busyness of the season is where the tape is or where the scissors walked off to. Nope this week is all about a) checking off that we have all the supplies we need on hand and b) making sure that those supplies are all organized in one place.
This Week’s To Do List
Purchase Christmas gift wrap supplies:
Ensure you have on hand the following:
- Wrapping paper
- Gift bags
- Gift tags
- At least three or four rolls of tape
- Scissors (two pairs even better!)
- Packing tape and a roll of brown paper if mailing packages
- A container to contain all the supplies in
Organize a gift wrap station:
I don’t have the luxury of a gift wrapping room. So my gift wrap station is a portable solution that I can move around to whatever room I happen to be working in. I’ve been using the same station for years that I adapted to fit my needs. You can get more information about how I put it together and use it HERE.
You can find a similar storage container to the one that I use HERE.
Other great options include:
Also the Container Store online has some great storage options and this weekend you can get 30% of any one item, whoot! Just click on the banner below to take you right there.
Contributor Yuni’s station is also a simple one with just a basket and a caddy. You can read all about it right HERE. She loves to use neutral paper.
Contributor Morgan also recommends using neutral brown paper and gift bags and then adding colorful ribbon and tags. Read more about her system HERE.
No matter what supplies or container you use, the most important thing is to have it organized all in one place. This will not only save your sanity but time as well when you don’t have to make additional trips to the store to grab what you need.
So there you go, I told you this week was going to be an easier one 🙂 I hope you have a wonderful week everyone!
