Hi friends! I absolutely love music but I especially love and adore Christmas music. I have quite the Christmas CD collection (every year I can’t help buying at least one or two new ones!) but as is the case with every CD, I usually only really love one or two songs from each. Today I was thinking about how much I’d love to have all my favorites in one place so I decided to organize a Spotify playlist to “contain” them all together. It’s the organizer in me, what can I say! 🙂 It took me awhile to round them all up but gosh am I ever glad I did, it’s awesome to listen to one favorite of mine after another!
For those of you that are interested in hearing it, I thought it might be fun to share it with you here. I was able to embed the playlist code below for you to click on. You will need a Spotlify account (my username is orgjunkie) but it’s free to sign up (although with the free version you do get ads every few songs or so).
As you will see I love me a duet. Big time. They make me so happy!! I am also a sap for a big choir and even though I can’t sing well at all I can’t help but belt out the songs along with them. Also keep in mind that I am a Christian and my faith is very important to me. Christmas is such a special time for Christians as we celebrate the birth of our Savior and many of these songs reflect that in a big and powerful way. Christ-centered music helps me stay focused on the reason for the season despite the busyness that swirls around me and tries to consume me.
Do you hear the crying of the king;
the angels as they sing?
Salvation comes from in a manger.
Do you see the light that’s shown the way;
that’s shining still today?
Our king has come from in a manger.
I do hope you enjoy these songs on my Christmas playlist as much as I do. I’d love to know if you share any of these favorites as well. And if you have a favorite not listed here please feel free to share it with us in the comments below.
The playlist box will appear right below this, please give it a minute to load if you don’t see it right away. Or you can find it HERE.
Merry Christmas and God Bless everyone!!
