Hi everyone, have you heard of the site $5 Dinners? I’ve been following Erin’s site since she started 7 years ago and it is just awesome. I have linked to her recipes many times over the years on my Menu Plan Monday posts. They are not only inexpensive (she makes every meal for $5 or less!) but quick and easy too. Erin has also written several cookbooks and most recently released her newest project, The Grocery Budget Makeover Course, which I’m excited to tell you about today.
As you know menu planning is a very important tool in my life that keeps me organized, saves my sanity, helps me eat healthy, saves me time and of course saves me money. But I know many of you still struggle week after week to pull a menu plan together and grocery shop accordingly. I’ve been looking for a resource that I could recommend that would help you and since I’m a slacker and haven’t written my own, I am thrilled that Erin has released this course for me to recommend to you. Not only will you learn about menu planning but as well about grocery shopping, stretching your coupon buck, stockpiling, time saving kitchen and cooking hacks and much much more. You can read the entire curriculum HERE. I love that each week of this course includes a video, it’s how I learn best since I’m such a visual gal as I know many of you are too.
So if this sounds like something that might interest you, keep reading!
So how does the grocery budget makeover work?
The Grocery Budget Makeover is a ‘course’ designed to change the way you shop for groceries. It lasts for 13 weeks and you’ll get the following:
- 13 weeks of instructional and informational videos – These will help you reframe your thoughts, teach you cool new strategies plus it will feel like we’re sitting together in Erin’s kitchen chatting about what changes you need to make.
- 13 weeks of worksheets and printable resources – You can’t make changes in any area of your life or complete a successful makeover without a little bit of work. The worksheets (combined with the videos) will be your lifeline through the makeover.
- Cooking demo videos – Every couple weeks, Erin will share a cooking demo of a related recipe to that week’s lesson.
- Access to a super secret Facebook group – Makeover-ees will get to chat with each other, inspire each other and encourage each other…and of course, Erin be chiming in every day too!
- Personal guidance from Erin on 1 of 4 ‘community calls’ – She’ll schedule a couple of calls throughout the makeover where you’ll get to pick her brain.
- Free copy of the Complete Package of the 8th Costco Meal Plan (set for release on June 8th)
- Plus other fun surprises!
The program starts on May 19th and ends in early August. The cost for this first round of the Grocery Budget Makeover is $39 total. Or $13 a month, or about $3 a week. Registration will close at midnight on Monday, May 18th. (And it won’t re-open until early September!)
Let me know if you sign up and what you think of it. I want the whole world to see how life changing menu planning can be and not only is this resource a great way for you to learn how to do it but it’s also a step-by-step program that will flip turn upside-down the way you grocery shop…forever!
