Hi friends, happy Friday to you. I’ve been busy organizing areas around my home. This week I was inspired by this post from Kalyn on how to downsize your book collection. Because let’s face it, books are awesome and it’s really really hard to part with them but occasionally it has to be done. All my kids are big time readers and have huge book collections that we have curated over the years from thrift stores. We really love books in this house. My youngest (9) has a very small room (you can see it here) and it was time to go through and do a purge to make room for books that were keeping in line with his reading level. So together we went through with a donation box and he decided all on his own which books he was ready to part with. I love giving my kids the opportunity to practice their decision making skills, so valuable to learn. Check out his donation box below (as you can see he has moved on from quite a few series of books). So proud of him!
What will you be organizing this weekend?
Some of you have emailed me about my organizing app and not being able to find it in the app store. I have no idea why this is happening and my developers aren’t returning my emails. As I find out more, I’ll let you know. Sorry about that!
