Friday Favorites: Traveling Apps, Photobooks, Free Scripture Advent Calendar + more!

My favorite organizing links at I'm an Organizing Junkie!

Hello again!  It’s December which makes me super happy for so many reasons!  For instance, it might surprise you that really cold weather like this makes me happy.

Our Northern Canada Weather

I love it because it usually means the sun is going to come out and be big, bright and shiny against a big beautiful blue background!  I love the sun and cold weather like this usually means it’s not going to snow.  And snow makes driving conditions bad and accidents happen so anytime the sun comes out I am rejoicing regardless of how cold it is.  Although -40 takes your breath away when you step out into it.  Thankfully I have a nice down coat to keep me toasty warm :)  Now who wants to come visit me here in northern Alberta, Canada? :)

If that fascinates you, be sure to follow me on Instagram because I’m constantly posting pictures of our crazy weather here.  Doesn’t that sound exciting?  Ha!

So because I missed a couple of weeks posting my Friday favorites I’ve got a few more than 5 here.  I couldn’t help it, there is just so much good stuff out there.  Many people writing about slowing down and simplifying which I love and can’t get enough of.

Have a great weekend everyone!!

I’m a HUGE fan of photobooks.  They are quick to make and take up so much less space than traditional photo albums.  This is a great post titled, Organised Photobooks, from Forever Organised on how to make them.

I LOVE how Amy, from Delineate Your Dwelling, prettied up her Martha Stewart Message Center, it looks so nice!  For more information on how to create a functional command center please visit this post from Kuzak’s Closet.

Love this post on 6 Habits for Happiness at Home ~ from the Inspired Room at (in)Courage.

This post titled, 10 Simple Strategies for a Clean & Organized Home, totally cracked me up.  It’s not what you might think :)

And this post from Jessica at Life is Mom makes good solid sense ~ Enjoy the Fruit and Send Mom Guilt to the Compost Pile

Now for the holiday posts:

You might want to check out this Pre-Holiday Declutter Guide from Slow Your Home.  Good stuff there!

What would be a Friday Favorites post without free printables?  These Scripture Advent Calendar Tags from Shannon at AKA Design (Shannon used to write here, hi Shannon!) are amazing and lovely.  And look at the deer (so cute!), those prints are free too!  Get them here.

My Favorite Things this Week:

Certainly one of my favorite things from last week was being named the Featured Blogger on Cityline!  If you’d like you can check out the interview I did with them here.

Two of my favorite things this past week include Christmas decorations and decor as we put up our tree last week.  The first is the ornament we purchased when we were in Maui on vacation this past summer.  It’s so colorful and pretty!

Two years ago I purchased a new nativity set and then last year during the after Christmas sales, I purchased the Wisemen to go with it.  I love this set so much.  It’s called Mama Says and sadly my pictures just don’t do it justice.  The detail is really incredible.

So that’s it for today.  What do you have going on this weekend?  Are you party hopping or staying home and watching sappy Hallmark type Christmas movies like me? :)
