Menu Plan Monday ~ March 28th

Hey all!  I’m feeling a bit better finally but still pretty weak from four days without hardly eating.  We’ll have to see how the grocery shopping goes this morning.

I am so looking forward to spring.  We haven’t experienced it here yet but I’m sure hoping it’s on it’s way soon.  I think what would boost my spirits is a nice new fresh springy Menu Plan Monday banner.  What do you think?  I like to add a couple new ones to the rotation each year anyway.  So I’m going to throw it out there.  How about a little contest?  Put your design hat on and give it a whirl.  The banner needs to be similar size to the one above, say Menu Plan Monday somewhere on it and as well include my url  Think spring, fresh and fun! Remember I told you last week my husband asked for something with bacon?  Well I made this delicious Pasta Carbonara recipe for him and he loved it!  Yay!  Here’s a picture of how it turned out.  I added some diced red pepper for veggies.  Yum!

Monday: Lean Beef Tacos

Tuesday: Pineapple Pork Chops (missed from last week) served with rice and broccoli

Wednesday: Italian Sausage & Potato Roast (family favorite!)

Thursday: Leftover buffet

Friday: Cupcakes for dinner!  April Fools 🙂  Potato-Topped Mini Meatloaves

Saturday: Spicy Honey Soy Roasted Chicken Thighs served with french fries and carrots

    Laura I have craving pineapple lately so I must check out those porkchops. Personally I am not a porkchop fan so I am wondering what your thoughts are on making that with chicken.

    Thanks so much for featuring my chalk board menu! Since I have made it, it has definitely been used regularly! I do find it really helps out especially when I’m not home for hubby to know what he should be fixin! I’ve written down a couple of recipies I found here and am looking forward to trying them.     Mmmm pasta- that looks so good I am a fiend for pasta. We even invented a new pasta recipe Saturday and are having it for dinner tonight! Yes, it was that good. <3

    Your menu looks so good- as usual (minus chicken thighs- I could do the taste but the texture seriously squicks me out. We are doing the meatloaf cupcakes for the first as well.

    I must admit, I was a little TOO excited when I read that you’re having cupcakes for dinner on April 1st. But that mouth-watering photo of potato-topped mini meatloaves sold it for me. Looks like the perfect hearty meal for cool springs nights!

    Does anyone make their meals on one day and freeze them? I would love to take a look at your blogs. I know a friend who makes everything on Sunday afternoons for the week, but she makes it for her parents who can no longer slice and dice things, and keeps a portion for herself. I am interested if anyone does their menu this way.

    When I need labels on baskets with holes in them like that, I make labels with my leftover cardstock and markers, punch holes in the top and tie them to the basket with leftover ribbon. A little more time-intensive but they stay put!!

    I’m so glad I found this website. It has saved my family so much $$$ on our grocery bill. We are a family of 5 and every week when I’m making my menu I ask each of the family members their request for supper that week. Last week my oldest daughter picked tortellini. I made the pasta carbonara from your menu with the tortellini and it was so good. I also made the pineapple pork chops, which were also very good. Thanks so much for your website. I’m glad God directed me here!!! My husband is really enjoying all the delicious new recipes and I’m really enjoying not hearing “what’s for dinner” everyday!
