My friend Susanne of Living to tell the Story hosts this fun carnival that asks us to list our five favorites from the past week. So I thought I’d share a few of my favorite things from my trip to Ontario.
When people visit my house their feet always freeze because I have very cold tile floors. I was so excited to find this cute pouch (at Jysk) that comes with various size guest slippers. Come on how awesome is that!
This Taste of Home Cookies and Bars softcover cookbook was a Christmas gift from my sister. It is so fantastic! And yes we totally cheated and exchanged gifts already {giggle}. We are so naughty.
Here’s another gift from my sweet sister. I have always had a thing for the words Live, Love, Laugh. And Mr. Snowman is ready to supply a special sweet treat as you go out the door 🙂
My hubbie was so nice to paint my kitchen while I was away. We bought the paint three years ago, I never thought I’d see this day! The color is Benjamin Moore Saybrook Sage and I’m so happy with the way it turned out. I purchased these cute coffee and tea words in an awesome country store called White Feather. Can you tell I have a thing for words?
And one more picture of my most favorite thing of all.
Precious snuggles from my six month old niece.
(and just for the record I don’t normally have grass coming out of my head)
I miss her so much already.
What are your favorites of the past week?
Thanks to Susanne for being such a lovely hostess 🙂

There is nothing more precious then a baby asleep on your chest. So sweet! Oh and I kind of like the spikey grass look. It’s very hip. You just need some grass colored leg warmers to go with it.
Hugs.

Very nice gifts! I love the kitchen colour! Thanks for sharing the paint name, that is the colour that I have always wanted to paint my kitchen. Now I know where to get it and what it is called!

Some of my favorites of the last week have been looking at pictures of my kids when they were babies (I’m getting the itch for #4 and that definitely did NOT help!), taking a break on the homeschooling and just ‘hanging out’ with my boys all week (we’ve had the best time), and going to see my mom (she lives an hour away; she’s my best friend!) I’m sure I’ll have LOTS of favorites over the next four or five weeks. This is my very favorite time of year. Memories to made, pictures to be taken, gifts to be bought, food to eaten…it’s the BEST! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Squishy baby cuddles make the best presents.
If only we could figure out how to package them for mass distribution…

Oh I miss those days when they actually loved to snuggle. Love the slipper idea, Elaine had a big basket by the door that she kept all kinds in. Hotels all over are missing slippers lol
Susanne says
Hey look who’s on the linky today! So glad you jumped in!
I am so going to Jysk to get that slipper thingy. That is such a cool idea! I think my Mom would even love that for Christmas. She’s always pushing slippers on us when we’re at her house. LOL.
I love that picture of you and your neice, grass head and all. :v)

How sweet, I love this Friday edition. Oh, I miss that cuddly 6 mo. old stage. Thanks for sharing!

The slippers! What a great idea. Although living on the coast of Florida I need to get a basket of flip-flops. Oh…what am I saying…my guests arrive already wearing flip-flops – the official Floridian shoe wear.
Also love the coffee/tea words.

Hi Laura,
I linked over from Susanne’s and enjoyed reading your Friday Fave Five.
My brother and I used to always exchange Christmas gifts early because we’d first play Hangman to find out what we got from each other. And then we figured, if we already know what we’re getting, we might as well go ahead and open it. 🙂

Hey Laura,
Great picture. Great fav’s. I think these would be mine for this week:
1. The sunshine while walking my son to school.
2. A smile from my client who, I suspect, has not smiled in a couple of years.
3. My daughter’s teacher who said at the interview this week that “your daughter has no idea how great her potential is!”
4. The fact that both my husband and I could get to the high school teacher interviews.
5. A stolen 15 minutes alone with my son in the middle of the day because I had to take him to the MD’s office.

Great idea! I’ve had similar ideas for a carnival !

I love the slipper pouch idea, maybe I will have to make one for myself when things calm down.
