I’m in a Capessa video!!

When Amber from Capessa first contacted me about interviewing me over the phone and turning it into a video series I seriously just about choked on my cheerios.   You see I’m a huge fan of their site and love all the amazing interviews they do with other women but these interviews are done in person and I just couldn’t contemplate how a telephone interview with me was going to even come close to the excellence they normally produce.  Amber talked me into it though telling me not to worry about a thing, it would be fine.  Yet I so didn’t believe it would be fine and you wouldn’t have either once you heard all my ummms and nervous laughter in the interview.  Yikes!  I really was expecting her to call me back to say sorry we just couldn’t do anything with that, we’ll have to scrap the whole plan.   But this is where the magic of Capessa comes in.  They did the videos and I stand in awe of them (considering what they had to work with) and am in fact not even embarrassed to share the link with you.  Now that’s something 🙂

Capessa is such a first class operation and I just want to thank Amber and the Capessa team for doing such a great job!  I’m so very honored to be featured on your site.

So if you’d like to see my online video debut, then all you have to do is click on the Capessa link below.

Is organizing a gateway drug to happiness?

  1. Can I get your autograph before you get toooo famous. LOL!!! I absolutely loved your Capessa Video. They did an awesome job and so did you!!!

  2. How amazing, I love it! I have to say that I am an aspiring organizer. I am moving into a very old house that we have rehabbed & there is very little storage space. I look at your site all the time for ideas & love what I see. Thank you & Congrats!

  3. Girl you are famous! :)) Loved the video! You did a great job! It is so funny that you said organizing is calming. I always felt that way but thought it was crazy. But your right it is. Keep up the good work!

  4. I think we’re twins…. haha I too am addicted to organizing. I think some of it is born of necessity, but the love of order seems to be deep inside me, and always has been.

Growing up as the oldest of 8 kids, living in a very small home, I was always overwhelmed by the mess… There just wasn’t enough room for everyone’s things, even if it was organized.

Now I live in a tiny duplex. Organization is a must if I’m going to stay sane. Yesterday I spent the entire day pulling everything out of my son’s closet (which currently doubles, or is it triple? as storage/crafts closet) I set out bags and boxes to purge what I no longer needed. I got clothes that are too small ready for a children’s consignment sale. I posted a huge box of fabric scraps on Freecycle. I used large rubbermaid tubs to organize everything I’m keeping, and when I was done I felt sooooo much better!

The master bedroom closet is next!

BTW, the videos and interview were great!

  8. Hi Laura,

I just discovered your new video. It’s awesome! Congrats : )

Seriously, I’m in awe of your organizing skills and I’ll definitely be subscribing to this blog!

  9. I love that you are being recognized for your talents. Way to go! I am an organizing junky too and I found myself nodding and agreeing with you as you were talking on the video especially when you said it calms you and you can move on after a task is completed. I love how you use “found” objects to solve organizing challenges in your home, I do too, as opposed to going to get a new system at Target or Ikea. I have been blogging too for about a year and it is such a fun outlet and I definitely love sharing my ideas too. Thanks for all your ideas.

  10. Thanks Heaven I found your site!!!! I’ve watched your video too….. Congrats!!!!!! You are such an inspiration for me.. and I love lurking on your site.. if you dont mind.. juts getting tips and keep me motivated.. Keep up the good work….

  11. Great videos!! And look how cute you look. You are inspiring me to go out and get some of those plastic bins. You need to have a contest “Have the Org Junkie come to your house”. I’m lobbying for that one (and since I suggested it, I should be the winner :D)

  12. Good for you. I very much enjoyed your segment on Capessa. I’ve recently found your site and this weekend will be my first Menu Plan Monday post!

I very much enjoy your site.

  13. Great job! I love your blog…you inspire me to organize my life. I’m like you…if I’m having a rough day and I get to organize something, I feel better. Maybe it’s a control issue for me…although I don’t really want to analyze it! 🙂

    Thanks for blogging!

  14. Thanks for being famous and wonderful in the video land of Capessa. Remember us when you get to the top.

I forgot you were Canadian until I heard the accent. Too cute.

So, you would like the leg lamp thingy for your house? I’ll be right on that. LOL
