I tried to make this funny but I can’t….

Anyone living in a hot tropical location want to switch places with me?

Please…..

  1. I’ll switch with you! I would love a week in the snow…well I guess I will be there since I’m going to Utah this week. But here in So Cal it’s be almost 80 degrees! (No complaints about the warm weather from me though) 🙂

  2. That’s incredible!! We’ve had a lot of snow and severe cold this year (in southwest Ontario) but nothing like that!! Is that normal or one for the record books??

  3. My mom grew up in Alberta and when she’d had enough – she moved to sunny Arizona. It was 72 F today. I’ll check back in the summer when it’s 115 here and 72 F in Canada! Then I’ll be crying!

  4. WOW, that is a lot of snow, girl..thought we had it bad with our weather, lol. stay inside, organize and drink hot chocolate!! oh yea, pray for spring, lol. poor baby!!

  5. You have way more snow than us!
I couldn’t stop laughing at the picture of your truck!!! Hilarious!
It’s been way too long of a winter…I’m about done with it all!LOL

  6. That is a lot of snow. We are warm and sunny in Southern California. High 70’s for the next few weeks. I can’t say that I envy you with all that snow.

  7. You know, the ONLY thing that my kids would see in that hugemongous pile is “WOW, think of the burrows we could make in THAT!”

Not missing the snow terribly now. SHIVER!

    Sending sun from Germany!

  8. Ok, I never thought I’d say that Cleveland Ohio was tropical in February but compared to THAT we are. And we are only 4 degrees here. But we don’t really have much snow. Maybe 3 inches. Um, you can come here but I’m not switching with you.

  9. Oh my goodness! I’d love to see that much snow – so would my kids!

There will be trouble when it all melts!

  10. I’m sorry, but I’m jealous. I have piles of snow clothes and no snow. Instead we have grey dreary cold day after day with a lot of icy rain mixed in. AND yet again we were supposed to get snow and got none. Pitiful! 🙂 I guess we’ll just have to live vicariously through the snowbound!!!

  11. That snow is exactly the reason we moved to south Florida. I love it here. You should consider moving. We average in the 80s in “winter” time. Good luck with all that shoveling!

  12. LOL! Well that put’s my little backyard mini tobagganing hill to shame. Wow, that is absolutely amazing. Made me shudder to think of all the water if you guys got the chinook and fast melt that can happen around here. You’d have a flood. Hats off to whoever shovelled your driveway!

  13. Oh WOW Laura, I am speechless, I mean I love snow but that is just ridiculous.

I will gladly switch with you for a bit, or send some of this 70 degree weather up there to melt the snow.

  14. The only great thing about all this snow is it actually doesn’t ever get that cold here.

However the spring thaw does leave for a horrible mess that is for sure.

  15. come to Texas.. we were in shorts last weekend and flying kites.. although this Friday it’s supposed to be 30*
darn Texas weather changes all the time!!

  16. My kids swingset was half buried. I thought we were getting a lot of snow! WOW!!

We have been having a bit of warming and it is starting to melt. Now we are having flooding with ice at night when it freezes again. What a mess!! Hang on… it’s coming! (Nothing like a bit of encouragement from a friend!) 😉

  17. Wow! The most “snow” I remember was almost a foot and really most of it was ice from a really bad ice storm. Here if we get a few inches it’s a lot. This year we haven’t even gotten a whole inch I don’t think.

  18. Now I don’t mean to rub it in, but I do live in FL. I lived in MD for most of my life and I DO NOT miss looking out and seeing scenes like that one.

That calls for some MASSIVE cups of Hot Chocolate and a movie marathon.

    Spring will be here soon.

  19. And it is worse when all the snow stops you from getting your hair done and visiting with a good friend…RIGHT!!

Oh and I know the hair things was more important…I know my place.

  20. LOL! Oh, I’m so sorry! My kids have been out riding their bikes for the last three days in a row, enjoying a warm spell. But hey, I live in Texas and you live in Canada. We’d probably freak out if Texas suddenly had snow up to the rooftops and Canada suddenly had 70 degree sunny days, don’t you think? 🙂

  21. Hi Laura – WOW THAT IS A LOT OF SNOW! I’d switch, for a day or two. Spring is on it’s way here … and, do you live in a log home? COOL!

  22. That’s what I THOUGHT we’d look like when we moved to Ukraine…but NOTHING like that at all. I do love snow (for a season), but the only way I could survive your neck of the woods would be with a fireplace, lots of logs, and maybe some mulled wine!

  23. Wow! Your snow trumps mine! we had 58 inches in January, which is a record for us, but never was it up over my car!

Stay warm…have a mini gettaway in your house to pretend you’re in the Bahamas! : )

  24. So I think it’s safe to say that most of us (me included) are READY TO BE DONE WITH WINTER! Although a pleasant change from warm summer days, an occasional brisk snowy day is quite nice… but Laura… this is taking it a bit too far.

OMG! To say that “that’s a lot of snow” is an understatement! My sympathies go out to you!

  25. That is just plain crazy! I guess there’s nothing left to do but throw your hands in the air and just stay inside and watch capessa.com videos! Sorry I don’t have a tropical location to switch with you. We too have snow, but compared to you, we’re tropical.

  26. WOW, I’ve been enjoying your blog for months and somehow I imagined you in South Africa. I guess not! Must have had you confused with another blogger. I am in U.S. and used to live in North Dakota, so I can relate. But now live in area with cold winters but hardly any snow. I’m kind of jealous, actually, and would trade you in a heartbeat.
    Amy

  27. Hey – we had a swing set like that when I was a kid living in Presque Isle, Maine. People always look at me funny when I tell them we use to sit on the top… LOL Now I know I wasn’t dreaming it.

We just moved this past December to Pennsylvania – just west of Philly and we haven’t had much in the way of snow here – although we are getting a bit of snow, sleet, and freezing rain as I speak.

I’ll be wishing you some sunshine… everything is a bit easier to take when the sun shines!

  28. Laura,

I feel your pain! I’ve lived in New England my entire life & this has GOT to be one of the worst winters we’ve seen in a long time! (as a matter of fact, we’re getting MORE snow/sleet/freezing rain tonight!)

  29. Wow. That’s all I can say. Wow.

So, I’m guessing the bikinis that Target has on display aren’t going to do you a lot of good for a while?

    Wow.

  30. I’ve seen a few blogs lately that had so much snow, my first thought was, ‘where on earth do they live?’ and it’s almost always Canada. Did the same thing with you – how did I miss that before, I love Canadians! And you’re right, that’s just too much snow – good grief. We’ve had snow for the past week, it’s predicted for the next several days and I just keep telling myself, spring is coming, spring is coming, spring is coming!

  31. Wow! I have never seen that much snow! I don’t know what I would do!

We go to a place in Manitoba every once in a while (our honeymoon and 5 year anniversary) in the summer, but have talk about going back in the winter next time. They talk about snow, but I don’t think it would be that much as they are not so far north.

You said it does not get that cold where you are. How cold does it normally get? It is 7 degrees F here in Missouri this morning.

  32. Holy igloo, Batman. That’s amazing. I will not tell you about our weather. Because that would be cruel.

I tell you, when I saw your picture, I just wanted to run and fling myself into the snow.

    Stay warm. And safe!

  33. I’d say -7 C is a really cold day for us around here. I’m not too sure how many inches that is but it’s definitely more than 10 feet!

  34. I love snow… but NOT THAT MUCH! Come live with me!!! Our toddlers can pal around!

And thank goodness for blogging on days like this!

  35. I love your blog and have read it for a while, so I decided to de-lurk 🙂 I have never seen that much snow in my life. Where I live, everything shuts down for 1/2″! Amazing!
