If they had a Freak of the Year category, I might stand a chance!
I’ve seen all this talk going around about some organizing award show going on in LA. Well since I don’t live in LA I just basically skimmed the info and kept on going. However wasn’t I surprised to find out last week [when the famous Professional Organizer, John Trosko of OrganizingLA Blog emailed me himself] that this award show is open to everyone.
Which technically means that IF you really wanted to, you could go here to perhaps vote for, you know, your favorite organizing blog. Which I’m really hoping is me but if it’s not that’s okay too but just don’t tell me because I’m very fragile and might cry and heaven forbid I would be all cried out before tonight’s season finale of the Bachelor! Which I’m totally not admiting to watching oh by the way but once and awhile I might occassionally see an episode…….but only once a week. Not only that but Dancing with the Stars comes on just before Bachelor and that show has been known to make me shed a tear or two also, which seriously, should surprise NO ONE.
Where was I? Oh yes, back to the awards!
On February 1, 2008, Sherri Shepherd, co-host of ABC-TV’s “The View,” will host the Third Annual Los Angeles Organizing Awards, presented by the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO-LA).
Award categories include:
- Best Organizing Product Retailer
- Best Closet Design Company
- Best Garage Design Company
- Most Ecofriendly Organizing Product/Service
- Best Office Organizing Product
- Best Home Organizing Product
- Most Helpful Organizing Technology
- Best National Organizing Show
- Best Organizing Book
- Best Organizing Magazine
- Best Organizing Website or Blog
- Most Valuable Educational Resource
I added the red. I didn’t want you to miss it. It’s easy to vote. You just go here and click on “cast your ballot now” and fill in the blank or blanks. I know that because I totally went on over and voted….for myself! Yep I sure did because that’s what freaks do. I’m not going to hold my breath or anything but next year when they add the Freak of the Year category (and why wouldn’t they?), watch out, cause that baby’s mine!
