Menu Plan Monday – Aug 6th

Hey gang, sorry I’m late getting this post up but I got busy organizing my sister’s kitchen for her. I was having a great ole time. I took pictures and will hopefully share those sometime this week.

Here is our menu for the week. I’m feeling bad that I don’t have any recipes to share with you.

Monday: Taste of Mexico ~ Tacos, guacamole, couscous salad (which I’m leary about but my sister assures me I’m going to like), jello for dessert

Tuesday: Ham in the crockpot, mashed potatoes, garbonzo salad, mousse in chocolate cups for dessert

Wednesday: Country Hodown ~ BBQ Hamburgers, hotdogs, spinach salad, fruit in meringue cups for dessert

Thursday: Texas Chili Night with garlic toast and salad

Friday: BBQ Pork Spareribs with pasta salad, ice cream for dessert

Have a wonderful week everyone. I’m so so sorry I didn’t get a chance to go around and welcome all the many newbies last week. Please know that I do appreciate you joining us and I hope you’ve come back to join us again this week!

  6. So good to be back in the swing of things. I’m faced with a new challenge of not being able to cook with stuff like sherry and even red wine vinegar in our new home in Qatar, so if anyone has ideas, send them my way!

And thank you to Laura for making blogging fun AND productive!

  7. Hi again- I found the directions for the event AFTER I had posted my link, so sorry about posting twice. Is it possible to delete my entry under #20- It is linking to my blog but not specifically to my menu post. I promise not to link again, lol.

By the way, I noticed your story about the airplane food dilemma and wondering what sort of food restrictions your son has. I’m gluten free, so I know what a pain flights can be.

  19. Hey, I hope you don’t mind that I did this. I had a person ask me HOW to plan menus. So I wrote a description of it (complete with pictures) on my blog. That’s actually my first link listed. My actual menus are second. (#99 and #111 right now.) If it’s a problem, just let me know. I figured everyone could use a “how to” lesson.

    Hugs,
    Melinda

  20. *Giggle* – You’re Texas friend is getting a giggle at your spelling of Hoedown. Is that a Canadian thing or a typo? Either way, still love ya! And I like the themes, too. 🙂

Got my menu up, sort of a last minute menu plan, and also, I reviewed a healthier recipe for Fettuccine Alfredo that was really good – I think you’d like it!

    Have a great week!

  21. Been recipes off of this list for a long time, finally decided to join in! Thanks for doing this.
