Menu Plan Monday – July 2nd

Howdy! I hope all my Canadian friends had a fantastic Canada Day yesterday!
Another week of menus is upon us. If you are new please don’t hesitate to join us! Welcome!
Previous Week Recipe Highlights:
Grilled Tarragon-Lime Chicken – delicious and easy
Sirloin Caesar Salad – yummy and perfect for a nice summer meal
With the kids being off I have less time than ever to spend in the kitchen so ALL my menus this week are coming from the lastest issue of Taste of Home’s Simple and Delicious! Gosh I love this magazine and its sister magazine Light & Tasty. I highly recommend both of them. This one here is chock full of summertime meals.

Unfortunately, because this issue just came out, the recipes aren’t available on their website yet and I am unable to link to all of them for you. Sorry about that.

Monday: Beef Ragu with Ravioli

Tuesday: Ham with Mustard Cream Sauce served with potatoes and broccoli

Wednesday: Slow Cooker Thai Style Pork served with rice and carrots

Thursday: Leftover buffet

Friday: Mexican Chicken Sandwiches

WHAT ARE YOU EATING THIS WEEK?

  5. I like Taste of Home. Their recipes are fairly dependable. I don’t think I’ve found a stinker, yet. A few I could tell were not for my family based on the ingredient list, but there haven’t been any “surprises” which is more than can be said for a lot of publications.

  6. Hello Laura,
I have entered the site of this mag before, and it is full of interesting ideas. I am going to be using mustard sauce in a salad this week. I have a collection of mustards for different uses.
Have a lovely week and thank you for hosting!

  7. Thanks for the reviews of your “new” recipes from last week. I love the TOH magazines too. Great for recipes, tips, and ideas 🙂

  8. Your week looks great! I love TOH magazines…can’t wait till things are slowed down/caught up enough here to start trying new recipes again! I’m making a list. 🙂

  9. It has been a long time since I’ve picked up a TOH magazine, I’ll have to look for one this week!

  10. I subscribe to Taste of Home and have just ordered a subscription to Simple & Delicious. I had been disappointed in that magazine after it changed from Quick Cooking. But I ended up with a free Nov/Dec 06 issue of Simple & Delicious (had a recipe published in it) and found they had vastly improved it. I’ve been picking the issues up at Walmart since, and finally decided I needed to subscribe. Yes, this month’s issue looks really good! I was intrigued by that Beef Ragu with Ravioli, too. Looks easy and good!

Thanks for hosting and have a great week!

  11. Can’t wait to see how you like those recipes… I get that magazine too!

    Thanks for hosting this!

  12. Hello, your menu looks great! The sandwiches look interesting. Do your kids like the foods you fix? Mine can be picky sometimes. Have a great day!

  13. I love the TOH publications, too. I just got rid of a *stack* of old ones (organizing my kitchen- you’d be so proud!) but first I made sure the recipes I wanted were available online, LOL. I’m cooking two things this week off of Best Simple Recipes, too. So easy! Thanks for sharing these, and for hosting us each week. This is so fun!

  14. Your menu plan sounds great! I’ll have to check out those magazines. Have a wonderful week and good holiday.

  15. Yummy!! Your menu sounds de-lish! I used to receive the Taste of Home magazine! It’s a good one!

I’ve joined in this week!!! I love seeing everyone’s menu posted. Thank you Laura for hosting this wonderful idea!

I love the PROCESS post! I have a few areas around that house that I desparently need to apply it to.

    Hugs,
    Eden

  16. you’re the best!
you’ve helped me get organized in this area! i can’t wait to read more on organizing the rest of our home. Thanks!!

  17. I am late. I have been at the hospital with my son today. He had tubes put in his ears! But…better late than never with the menu!

  18. “Leftover Buffet” sounds so much classier than what we call it around here – digups. (Whatever you can dig up.) I’m totally going to use that expression from now on.

    🙂

I just did a little organizational post you’ll get a kick out of. I mentioned you in it. Imagine that. LOL

  19. Late as always…but I did it anyway!

I know it is helping me to accomplish more than I think…I am just getting a little uninspired due to fatigue from my pregnancy. Only 9 more weeks to go!

    Have a great day, Laura!
Also have a great Independence day!

  20. Sirloin Ceasar Salad is another of My favorites from Taste of Home. I think it’s nice that you pick so many of my favorites!

  21. I’m off to a late start, but this is my first MPM with this site. Love your ideas!

  22. Wow, you sure have many people participating in this weekly meme – very cool. Although I do not mind cooking at all, it is really hard to cook during the summer months in AZ. I really don’t like standing in the kitchen for a long period of time…so, I grill a lot (although it is hot too *smile*)

    Blessings to you and yours.

  23. I, too, love that magazine! I love the feature of a week of budget meals.

I haven’t been around in a while … but I hope to start back up. I am meal planning, just not very well.
