Product Highlight ~ Power Station Recharging Centre

The other day I had a chance to sit down and happily click through some of my favorite organizing sites. Imagine my surprise when I discovered all sorts of great organizing tools out there that I didn’t even know existed. Oh I was having the time of my life saving all sorts of links to my favorites. It’s like window shopping for organizing junkies without the embarrassment of, you know, actually being seen hopping up and down and turning all around. Now remember I live in a small town and don’t get out much so little things like this make me happy. Not wanting to deprive the rest of the world of my craziness, I’m going to share with you on occassion the products that I think look really neat. Hopefully someone else will think so to or else I’m left dancing on the dance floor by myself and well that could get lonely. I’m putting it out there on the off chance someone else might not have heard of it either and if you have, well just humor me, this is what I do for kicks.

I’m calling these product highlights and not reviews because I haven’t actually tried these products out, they are just things that make me say “well now that’s a great idea!”.

Alrighty then. My product for today revolves around my love of “stations”. Remember this, this and this? So when I saw the Power Station Recharging Centre over at Organize-It I got very excited. This is a fantastic idea. I do keep all my chargers in one area but just in a drawer and not set up so that I could quickly just plug my stuff in and walk away. This is easy, peasy. Doesn’t it just make sense? I love how the cords are all contained and out of the way too. You can read more about it here if you are interested and if you have had experience with this product please feel free to say whatever you like or don’t like about it in the comments section.

  1. Love it! We only use cell phones in our house and we have 3 between the two of us! I can’t wait to show hubbie! Thanks for the new feature!

  6. Geez…I don’t even have anything to charge, and yet I’m still giddy from you enthusiasm!

  7. That looks like a great product! We have cords all over the house.

Looking forward to seeing the products you will highlight in weeks to come.

  8. Your blog is great! One product tip I got from you is the getting organizing supplies at the dollar store! What a find! I followed your lead and got a few baskets to keep on hand as I do my organizing and withing a few days I used them (found that they fit perfectly in my cabinet). BTW – I also love your idea of continually reworking things and reusing your supplies. It has historically taken me a long time to get organized after a move becaused I felt I had to find the perfect, ultimate solution in each area. I learned from you to just try something, it will probably be an immediate improvement, and you can refine and rework it later.

  9. Wow! I was surprised at how affordable it is. I also like the driver pocket & the litter bag for the car. We have two cell phones & camera batteries charging often & it’s a mess on the counter.

  10. What a great device!!! I’ve never heard of it before, so I’m totally thrilled with your product highlight. This would be perfect right here on the ol’ desk! Both cell phones and my husband’s palm pilot all neatly berthed and re-charging without all the silly cords everywhere! I will be saving up to order one of these very soon!

BTW, keep the organizational product highlights coming! Great idea!

  11. Anonymous, yes! You got it!! Wow, I just couldn’t have said it any better myself. Thank you so much for that.

Danielle thanks for pointing out the car charging station. Very cool!

  12. What a great idea!

I’m like you…get excited over nifty stuff like this. Small town girl solidarity?

  13. Very neat idea! Man…if I ever got to the Container Store or the Rubbermaid store (neither one is too far away) I would probably embarass my hubby. 😉

  14. How woderful! Thanks so much for the product info!! It’s ingenious and practicle but I would have never thought of it myself.

  15. We recently moved to a large city and I was delighted to find an amazing store called The Containter Store. I actually thought of you as I walked through the doors, wide eyed and drooling. I quickly called my most organized friend back home and said, “You’ll never guess where I am!” What a fun place for use strange people who love to organize!

  16. LOVE it! Finding a place to keep our cell phones/chargers on our counters drives me crazy! I’ll move it one place and hubs moves it to the previous place which doesn’t work! This looks like a product that would HELP us.

  17. That is the greatest gadget, just what I need!

If you would like, I’ll try to help you out with you graphic. Zip up your source file and the font and email them to me and I’ll see if I can get you your logo with the really fun font that you so obviously really wanted. My email is: domesticgeek at gmail dot com. It’s the least I can do for all the wonderful tips you share!

  18. What I would like is a power strip for chargers with a switch for each one, so that those not in use would not draw standby power (and would presumably last longer, too).

Anybody see one like that anywhere?

  19. There is a book writer named Stan Slap who wrote: A manager’s emotional commitment is worth more than their financial, intellectual and physical commitment combined. Anyways I think we can all learn from this knowledge on business to live better.
