“I feel that organizing is not the destination. It is the gateway to your higher goal, such as to be able to get out the door faster in the morning or to be able to invite friends over with ease. Once you look beyond the piles and know why you want to get organized, you are suddenly motivated.”
Professional Organizer, Julie Morgenstern

Well said – and certainly true since you really don’t ever FINISH organizing. Life changes and evolves, as do our organization needs. What worked with infant children, may need to be revamped with preschoolers, etc. Certainly it’s easier to NOT think of it as a destination – it keeps frustration from setting in that you’re never finished:)

Oh my! Laura from Organizing Junkie reads my blog!! 🙂 I am also a lurker over here at your place! I plan my meals 2 weeks at a time, but can’t seem to get “organized” enough to post them and link up for Menu Plan Mondays! Maybe this week…

That rings so true. It’s not “just another thing on the to-do list” – it’s suppose to make life simpler and more enjoyable!

This is what I always tell my clients and speaking engagement audiences. Organization is not the goal.
Living a simpler, easier, more joyful, fabulous, powerful life IS the goal. Organization just helps you do that.
