Pantry Organization

A couple of weeks ago a friend blessed me by allowing me the opportunity to help her organize her pantry. It was my pleasure and I was happy to help. She’s even allowing me to share the pictures with all of you.

Before:

Remove, Sort and Purge:

After:
Expired items were thrown out and baskets were used to contain like items with like items.

Annie and her family are going through some rough times right now, the last six months have not been easy ones….cupboards are the least of her worries and for good reason. I’m glad she let me worry about her cupboard instead. It was a small thing but it meant alot to me to be able to do that for her. I guess what I’m trying to say is if you have space(s) in your home that you are having trouble getting to, clutter that needs to be cleared out, or just feelings of being overwhelmed with all that needs to be done, please please don’t be afraid to reach out and ask for help….because at the end of the day you’ll be blessing them!

Thanks Annie!

  1. I’d love the ‘before’ I don’t even have a pantry, just cupboards where I can’t find what I want unless I rummage!

    Hugs to Annie…

  2. How nice of you to help your friend out duting a hard time. 🙂

It looks really nice…I just wish my pantry was that large.

  3. How wonderful that you could help your friend by using your talents. You are amazing and I am loving your Blog.

  4. What a beautiful job! And what a blessing you were to your friend, who can now find what she is looking for quickly.

  5. Oh, lucky, lucky her to have such a thoughtful friend! If I had someone to cry, “HELP” to, I would!! Though my frustration isn’t so much organizing, it’s KEEPING it organized. I go through the pantry purge about twice a year, and it always ends up looking much like your friends after a few months go by.

  6. Laura, Amen to that post!! I am going to be helping my mother in law organize her garage and bedroom this weekend. She may think that I am helping her, but I am the one who is really looking forward to it.

  7. I’ve just started reading your blog after two of my friends completed your 30 day challenge. First I have a question, since you like containers so much. I’m looking for some kind of tall, skinny containers to organize my chest freezer so that stuff doesn’t get lost on the bottom. Have you seen anything like that? (Or have tips on chest freezer org?)

  8. Laura that looks just awesome,I remember your previous posts about Annie and Ron.What a great friend you are!

  9. I’ll email you my address and you can come right over. 🙂

What a lovely gift for your friend. Isn’t that what our lives are for, using our times and treasures to benefit our community? Awesome job!

  10. Lovely job! An organized pantry is a real blessing. I know she appreciates it.

I made the tortellini salad you posted on Menu Plan Monday – It was delicious.
    Thanks

You did a great job Laura!

  12. Your blog is so amazing. I am an organizing junkie to some degree as well. I have just recently found you and read all the posts from the beginning. It has inspired me in many small ways, i.e. my decluttering and organizing lenses have been sharpened, and as I walk through my house my thoughts are much more honed on “do I need this, do I want it, can I get rid of it, does it belong here.” Thank you for all the work you do on your blog, it means a lot to a lot of people.

  13. Oh, you are such a good friend! Do you want to come over to my house too? Just kidding. You did an amazing job and what a great way to bless someone else!

  14. What an amazing difference … have I told you lately that YOU ROCK!?!

  15. What a blessing for both you and your friend!

I’m thinking about organizing my pantry over this long weekend, and one of the things I can’t wait to do is get everything into containers so I can pull out what I need!

    Thanks for even more inspiration!

  16. Laura,
You are a special person to be looking to the needs of your friend. There should be more people like you in this world who care so much.

    God bless, Lyn

  20. Hi, I just found this site and am both excited and grateful to have done so! Would you be my friend and help me organize my home? LOL, your friend is very blessed to have you help her as you did.

I really love your site, even the colors! It is a bright, fresh site and I’m excited to read through it and hopefully get some great ideas because I need all the help I can get! 🙂

  21. It’s a lovely thought, encouraging people to reach out and help each other. I just started reorganizing my pantry, some cupboards and a big shelf in the garage. I got a lot of inspiration from Lunchinbox.net. Thanks for your inspiration too! I’m excited to have found your blog.

  22. My wife would love it if I was that organized. I’s the garage that always ends up looking a mess too. every summer i clean it out and organize the tools etc. Within a couple of months I’m back where I started. Sigh, I never learn, I’m always in a hurry.
