And the winners of the 30 Day Org Challenge are….

The time has finally arrived to announce our winners! Whew, my fabulous judges Lara, Marcia and I, definitely didn’t have an easy task that is for sure, but we have reached a decision and are now ready for a nap 🙂

I really enjoyed reading all of your answers to the questions I asked. Wow you guys blew my socks off! Here is a sample of some of them:

The cost it takes to keep something is more than just tucking it away to be used “someday”. It is time, energy and sometimes money. I have found that a lot of things are just not worth keeping.

I learned that organizing a room motivates me to keep it organized because I know how much work went into getting it organized and I don’t want it to get out of control again …..

It has already made a huge difference! I feel less burdened and quite happy with myself when I see my organized areas. Plus the closet was just the beginning. I have gone on to organize so many other parts of the house, and now I feel so free. It sounds silly, but it’s funny how a mess can weigh on you emotionally. Not only that, but all those organized spaces have reduced the time my daily cleaning routine takes, so I have been benefitting from this change in several ways!

I need to take time to clean our office. It really doesn’t take alot to maintain; I just need to do it daily. If I don’t, things pile up and I become overwhelmed. When I’m overwhelmed, I stress, and something as simple as paying one bill becomes a major undertaking.

That in order to keep things organized, everything needs to have a place. Otherwise it is just too easy to throw something onto a shelf or into a pile and things become cluttered and messy.

No matter how overwhelming the task seems, just start. You might be a little surprised at what you can accomplish in a relatively short period of time!

Thank you again to all the participants and congratulations to all of you. So here we go!

  1. Hi Laura

  2. Congratulations to the winners–and to all who completed the challenge! I feel like I “won” as well because my basement has stayed tidy for 3 whole weeks and it’s easy to find whatever I need in there! Thanks for hosting and the motivation.

  3. Well Laura, I’ll bet you’re as glad to have that done as the rest of us, aren’t you? I agree with Barb…I think we’re all feeling like winners with our great new spaces!

  4. I can’t believe I won!!!!! Everyone did such a great job with their projects. It has been so fun to spend time in my clean, relaxing scrap room. I can actually find stuff now! Thank you to everyone who donated prizes, and judged the entries and thank you to Laura who initiated the whole thing! I know I needed the motivation to get it all done!

  5. Wow! I wasn’t trying to win anything, but of course, I’m insanely excited that I did!

  6. Oh WOW! I can’t believe I won, either! Everyone did such a fantastic job on their rooms and I think everyone was a winner. My laundry room still looks fantastic (hehe) doing laundry is actually fun now :o)

I really need to thank Laura again for this great challenge…I wouldn’t have gotten around to it if it wasn’t for taking the challenge and posting those horrible before pictures on my blog. Organizing makes such a huge difference as opposed to just cleaning…I’m sure if I’d just cleaned it wouldn’t look the way it does now. Thank you!!! Thanks to all the judges and those who donated prizes as well…and to all those who participated.

Wheeee…I’m so excited. I can’t wait to tell my husband ;o)
