Menu Plan Monday – April 30th
***The 30 Day Org Challenge “final post” instructions will be posted shortly so be sure to check back later for that.****Before I go any further I have to do a Recipe Public Service Announcement of the utmost importance. The Cheesy Beef and Veggie Pasta recipe that I had on my menu last week was so disgusting. I repeat….disgusting! I am so NOT recommending this recipe. However, I do realize I’m not the greatest cook and that it could very well have been my cooking so if you want to try it use extreme caution and don’t say I didn’t warn you….lol! On the other hand, the Foiled Pack Taco Chicken Dinner was delicious. I will definitely be making this one again.
So here is what is coming up on my menu this week:
Monday: Better-Than-Ever Beef Enchiladas
Tuesday: Oven-Fried Chicken, Candied Carrots and potato patties
Wednesday: Slow-Cooked Pork Roast served with roasted red potatoes and broccoli
Thursday: Leftover buffet
Friday: Pizza Pasta Toss

Thanks for the public service announcement. I will make sure to avoid that dish. However, I might have to look into the slow-cooked pork roast. Yum!
I hope you have a fabulous and organized week 🙂 !!
HI Laura,
Your menu looks great. Thanks for the public service announcement! lol!
I am trying a few new ones this week – hope they are good 🙂
If you get a chance come over and see a picture of the giant banana pudding I made. It was huge!
Have a wonderful week.
I’ll be working in my garage tomorrow trying to finish up for the challenge.

MJ
Warning noted! I’ll take your word for it.
Yum — we love the Better-Than-Ever Beef Enchiladas!
Funny – I’ve had a couple of those in my day! Thanks for the warning. This week looks yummy!
oooo. I want to try that foil-packet recipe. How easy and yummy does that look?
Hope you enjoy the enchiladas!
peace of Christ to you,
Jessica
It must have been bad, Kraft Canada doesn’t have it linked anymore!!LOL(or your link didn’t work!)
Oops, must’ve been something I did!LOL, now I see it!!
ROFL!! Thanks for the PSA! I WONT try that one!

Hello Laura,
Have a lovely week!
Looks like a yummy week, hanks again for hosting, mine is up! Have a great week!!!
Sorry to hear that the Bad Dinner Fairy visited your house. I hope she has been permanently banished from the premises!
Just as it is nice to know when a recipe is great, nice to know when it isn’t too! Thanks for sharing.Looks like a great week for you!
I added the foil-pack recipe to my favourites.
I’m concentrating on the childrens meals again. (I’ve lost a stone and I’m watching my weight)Hubby has his usual spicy meals which the children steer clear of so I’m trying to make their dinners a little more adventurous this week.
I’m willing to bet it was the recipe and not your cooking. Thanks for saving us a non-winner! And as always, thanks for hosting! Have a wonderful week!
We tried the 40 Clove Garlic Chicken this weekend. I found that I would need to cut the cooking time, on my crockpot.
Also, it’s going to make terrific Chicken Tacos. The meat just fell of the bone!
We’re weren’t that impressed with it but now I found a great starter for Tacos.
I love the honest review of that recipe. I try to adhere to a policy of not sharing a recipe on our site unless it has been tested. (There have been a few exceptions for Vegan recipes, but they have a disclaimer) Personal taste is one thing, but bad recipes are no fun for anyone. It’s usually fairly easy to tell which is coming into play.
Thanks for doing this.
I’m new and happy to be doing this as it will make me think about getting out those cookbooks to cook some new recipes!
Had a week off, but I’m back on track. I’ve already bookmarked a bunch of recipes to try this week or next. Thanks to everyone for sharing!
mmm, your menu looks delicious! You mind setting another place at the table for ME? =) Have a great week!
Thank you for the public service announcement – good to know. Thank you for hosting again this week!
My menu is all set up and ready to go!!! I am now in a habit, I think!
Having encouragement from everybody here helps!
Blessings!
Heather
Man I never make it here early enough LOL
Great menu as always laura, and thanks for the heads up on the other recipe, I’ll take your word for it and won’t even try it LOL
Mine is up too….
Hugs,
Sandra
Well, I’ve done a few disgustings in my day. Win some, lose some. That pizza toss sounded good, but I couldn’t get the page to come up.
Have a great week.
I’ll have to try your enchilada recipe! I was excited to see it on your plan for this week. I made some this past week…not so good.
Hi Laura!
I’ll make a note not to try that cheesy beef recipe!
My menu is up. Rainy and chilly here, hard to get past planning comfort food.
God bless,
Mrs.T
I’m participating for the first time. I’m hoping to use this to regain the grip I once had on the menus at my house 🙂
Hey Laura! Great menu line up! Thanks for the heads up on the recipe.
My menu is posted!
It’s pretty cool of you to announce that the cheesy beef recipe was awful.
Ahem. Excuse me. I do not see kahlua cake on your menu plans for this week. LOL
Oh, man…I hate it when I am all excited to try out something new and – YUCK! I am so sorry that happened to you guys! I do a pizza chicken that is kind of like the taco chicken packets that my kids like when we go camping. We will have to try it taco-style.
How have the GFCF pizza pancakes worked for your son? I hope they worked out for you!
I hope you have a good week, Laura.
Good grief, I didn’t even get a chance to think about menu plan monday today! Maybe I can post it tomorrow. 🙂
no cheesy beef – got it! funny how some meals can sound so good on paper and then be a total flop in reality – oh well we live and learn i guess. I am so pleased to have found a menu planning community! my life will be better for it – no kidding :O) thanks for hosting and for links to some really good food!
