An organizing junkie like me wants to be able to categorize all her posts and with the new Blogger you can do just that with the label feature. Just by clicking on the label(s) at the bottom of each post you can see all posts with that same label….brilliant….and I wanted it….only Blogger wouldn’t let me. Then this morning I saw Bev’s post and then right after that Barb’s post and I got very determined that I wanted to be just like them and make the switch today too….and what do you know, by golly it finally let me. Yeah!!
I can’t wait to spend time this weekend labelling all my posts…..because what could be more fun than that!!!!
Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Laura, let us know how you made out with past posts…I thought I could only label the new ones…?!

I was able to change today too… finally! This must be a big day for blogger…so many seem to be making the switch today.

Hi Alberta, I had no problem labelling past posts. Blogger makes it very easy in the Edit Posts section…you can add labels without even opening up the post. Very cool!
Barb says
Now if we can just convince you to try bloglines, you’ll be in organizational nirvana, Laura. LOL
org junkie says
Barb I’m hoping to get to that this weekend too but we’ll have to see, I’ve got one kid down with flu today…ugg.
Jamie says
Laura – That sounds like a great idea. I guess I have the same thing on my blog/website. It is just that WordPress calls them “categories”. Let me know if this is something different. I might look into it. Have a great weekend, Jamie ~ Alabama

You are too incredibly funny! I now need to organize my labels ’cause I’ve so darn many of them it’s just silly. Sigh. Does organizing ever end?
AnneMarie says
hilarious! love your enthusiasm!
warpie says
And did you know you can list your labels on your side bar so we can easily see them all and how many topics for each label?

Spoken like a true org nut – “what could be more fun than labeling…” glad to see it worked for you. We must have all grabbed this little pocket of time when it was clicking.
Jennifer says
Finally. Yea!
org junkie says
Kim, please, please tell me how to do that!!
org junkie says
Jaime I’m sure they are probably the same thing but I’m not that familiar with WordPress. Sorry.

I still need to do that same thing-label all my posts- but for some reason am not looking forward to it quite as much as you are! 🙂

I’ve been wanting to switch too for the same reason but I didn’t think I could keep my new template. I tried my template in my kid’s Blogger/beta and it kept giving me error messages.
After reading this I just did it anyway and thought I would have to have somone fix my template. What do you know? It worked!!! But I don’t get the labels. I guess I still need to get my template fixed. I want labels!

Organizing your blog…that’s a very novel thought. I am new to blogging and have just started learning how to browse various blogs. I never, in a million years thought that I would find any useful information… until I stumbled upon your blog. You are an inspiration! Keep up the great organizing ideas…I need all the help that I can get.
Judi says
It beats having to do the categories in the sidebar doesn’t it? Have fun!
misslionheart says
When will the organising ever end? I bet you’ve even got your own funeral sorted! lol
Have a good week next week.
p.s. My menu is here, ready and waiting…

It’s on my to-do list as well….
Yay for the little things in life, right?

You crack me up!!! I think WordPress or something has a feature where you can hide your very private posts to only some with a login and password to your site.. I really like that. I wish blogger would do that too.
