Welcome to another organized week of menu planning! I hope you are all enjoying some sunshine wherever you are 🙂
The winner of the Fearless Feeding book giveaway last week was #114 ~ Lynn Delahunty. Congratulations Lynn!!
Recipe Highlight:
Last week’s recipe highlight goes to the BBQ Cowboy Casserole from Free Time Frolics. Easy and delicious as all my favorites are because I never want to spend more time in the kitchen than I absolutely have to. I made this recipe even easier by using mashed potatoes from a box. Oh yes I did because sometimes a little cheater goes a long way. Give it a try!
Cookies for a Cause:
Last week my daughter baked up some cookies for our annual community wide love on our town day. We went searching the internet for something different besides regular chocolate chip cookies just for a little variety. We found these fun cookies made with jello called Chocolate Covered Strawberry Jello Cookies from This Silly Girl’s Life. They were delicious and looked really pretty on the plate 🙂
Twitter Party:
I also am excited to tell you about an upcoming menu planning Twitter party. Jessica from Life as Mom (@fishmama) asked me to join her and Lynn from Lynn’s Kitchen Adventures (@lynnskitchenadv) to chat all about menu planning for an hour on Thursday, June 13th at 1:00 pm PST. Please join us by tracking the conversation on Twitter with the hashtag #goodcheapeats.
My Weekly Menu Plan:
Monday: Pepperoni Pizza Mac & Cheese
Tuesday: Monterey Chicken served with fries and corn on the cob
Wednesday: Dr. Pepper Slow Cooker Roast served with rice and broccoli
Thursday: Leftover buffet
Friday: Zippy BLT Wraps
Saturday: Mom’s Taco Salad with Catalina Dressing and Fritos
Sunday: Picking night!
Have a great week everyone!!

Those cookies look really delicious! It seems like all my family ever wants for a dessert is chocolate chip cookies. I may have to give those a try for some variety. Thanks for hosting!
Janet @ Frugal & Focused says

Hi there! I LOVE your site and have been trying to menu plan and LOVE organization (even though I’m not that organized)! At any rate, I was reading todays post about menu planning… just taking 3 days to start – great advice! And I was wondering if you would ever consider doing a giveaway with our aprons — it goes with the menu planning! Take a peek at my site http://www.knottydaughters.com – I think our adult aprons would be a super cute giveaway! Let me know your thoughts!
Off to start 3 days of menu planning… baby steps 😉
Thanks!
Jennifer

Thanks for the feature. I love this meal. It is so easy and yummy!! If you want to add veggies you can add steamed cauliflower to the potatoes and no one know s the difference! Thanks again!!
