Menu Plan Monday ~ July 23/12
Welcome back friends! I’ve now made my way from a week of spending time with family at a lake cottage here in Ontario to my sister’s house (my parent’s live here too in the in-law suite!) for another week of fun and adventure with family. We are spending a lot of time playing the card game Euchre (so great!) and tonight I introduced them to a card game called Dutch Blitz which is also super fun.
Here’s a shot of my mom’s backyard oasis where we are spending much of our time. Isn’t it pretty?
Our menu this week is all over the place and pretty spontaneous so I’m not really sure what we’ll be eating from day to day. Not wanting to leave you without some recipe links to enjoy I asked my daughter what recipes she’d like to eat if she was creating the weekly menu plan this week. Here are her top FIVE favorite meals. All tried and true and easy peasy.
Slow Cooker Rotisserie Chicken
I hope you all have a wonderfully glorious sun filled week!!!

Hi Laura! Hope you have a great week!! Thanks for hosting!!!
What a beautiful backyard! Enjoy your time with family. And your daughter’s picks sound a whole lot like what my girls would pick.
Wow- your vacation sounds wonderful- what a nice break! I don’t have much of a menu this week, ’cause we’re going on vac. too, but I do have an exciting announcement:
I’ve written a menu planning ebook with 5 weeks of simple summer menus – plus shopping lists, tips, and links to many of the recipes! And it’s FREE with a subscription to my blog. 🙂
Many of the meals were lifted right from our past menus, so thankyou, Laura for all these years of MPM that have helped me stay motivated to plan our menus and realize what a difference it makes in our daily life!
Wow! Love your Mom’s oasis! It’s gorgeous! Hope you are having a fantastic vacation with your family and those little nieces of yours! Angie xo

Hi Laura,

I cleaned out my pantry this weekend and today is my first Menu Planning Monday (actually Sunday, because I planned and grocery shopped yesterday). Here is our menuplan for the week. It’s not the healthiest, but I am 6.5 months pregnant so I rely on hearty meals these days!
