Menu Plan Monday ~ Oct 12th

mpm-1

Good morning everyone and Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends!!  We celebrated last night which is why Menu Plan Monday is going up late today.  Hope you all remembered and weren’t wondering where the heck I was 🙂  Sorry about that!

We had an amazing turkey dinner, so delicious!  I only had to go to Plan B once and that was with the stuffing which I do in the slow cooker.  This time it went mushy on me because my new slow cooker was way too hot.  At the last minute I threw in some more bread cubes and left the cover off for awhile and all was good.  Whew!

So today is a day off for us and will be all about leftovers and puttering around the house.  My favorite way to spend the day!

Here is what’s on the menu this week.  Nice and simple!

Monday: Turkey soup

Tuesday: Turkey Tetrazzini

Wednesday: Turkey Caesar Wraps

Thursday: Have-It-Your-Way Tacos

Friday: Chicken Pesto Pizza using this dough for the crust

Saturday: Crockpot Ravioli with italian sausage added

Simple Supper Sunday

WHAT’S ON YOUR MENU THIS WEEK?

MPM guidelines and banner selections are here.  Feel free to use my lovely new banner above as well designed for me by Joy of Five J’s.

  1. Wow, I am #28! I never get here this early.

Happy Thanksgiving Laura! We were in Vancouver this weekend, and I wished we could have stayed and celebrated Thanksgiving. Tonight’s dinner is in honor of your holiday 🙂

  2. Wow! Way to use up the Turkey! This will be a great go to menu when we are done with our Thanksgiving down here in Texas. Nice save on the stuffing. I’ve never tried it in the crockpot.

  3. Thank you SOOOO much for your site. It is such an inspiration to keep me motivated. My family thanks you too because it got me cooking again! 🙂 It’s a win win for all of us, thanks for getting us organized.

  4. Happy Thanksgiving! I am so excited about Fall recipes. There is just something magical about all the baking and crockpot cooking. I agree with the readers, you’ve got me in Thanksgiving mood too. So that will be next week’s plan!

Thanks so much for what you do!

  7. What a great blog you have! Someone mentioned your site today on my menu planning post, so I had to come over & see. Now this is serious menu planning, a whole party for it every single Monday! That’s great, I’m just getting into menu planning recently & it does save time & $$.

  8. I am hoping things will turn out well this week. Trying mostly all new recipes, since taking corn out of my already gluten, soy and dairy free diet.

  9. Happy Thanksgiving!!
I love your table layout. It is beautiful! I may have to copy your idea of laying the leaves on the table. So festive!

  10. Happy thanksgiving from Australia!!

Table looks great (I didn’t expect anything less).

Just wondering if there are any other Aussies that join in on MPM ???? I’ve found 1 other this morning.

But if you read this and you are Down Under, drop by my blog and introduce yourself, I’d love to follow some other Aussies…

  11. Your table looks lovely! Glad to hear you were able to save the stuffing! LOL!

Thanks for being here for us every week! I am doing great with menus thanks to you! 🙂

  12. I just wanted to share this lil tip with ya!

Every year for Thanksgiving I make our turkey in an electric roaster. After the first year I tragically learned you can not stuff a bird that’s being cooked this way.

I now make my stuffing and put it in muffin tins. Usually we fight over the “crunchies” and this way. We all get our own little crunchy stuffin muffin.

    Just thought I’d share!

  13. Regarding the posting of the menu plans – when are we to post ours on our blogs? I know it sounds like a silly question but I want to be “uniform” with everyone else. Thanks!
    Kelly
