roundup

Giddy up!  It’s time to show off what you’ve accomplished this month.  I’m excited for you and for those that will be inspired by you!

To participate all you have to do is link up below to a post on your site telling us about the closet/cupboard you overhauled.  Don’t forget to include your before and after pictures.  Remember to use the direct link to your round-up post and not to your homepage.  That’s helpful for those of us who might not get a chance to take a peek at your post until later.  Also, as a courtesy, if you are going to participate please be kind and link back to this post within your post.

Those that link up before Sunday, May 3rd at 6:00 pm PST will be eligible to win a copy of Professional Organizer, Lea Schneider’s book, Growing-Up Organized: A Mom-to-Mom Guide.

Of course the biggest prize is the newly organized space you’ve just created and the peace of mind that comes with it.  Way to go and congratulations!

Finally, I’m always intrigued to know whether or not there were any lessons learned during the course of the month.  This can be very encouraging and motivating for others to read as well so please feel free to share in the comments the obstacles you battled and won to get the job done.

Next up……a surface or shelf.  Join us!

I thought for sure I was going to be first :-) When I came back to the computer to get my pictures on there was still no one there, but by the time I got it written up I was too late :-) Still #4 “ain’t bad” ;-)
Thanks for doing this Laura!

I really enjoyed doing this. I got a bit ahead of myself and did a bookshelf this month, too… should’ve saved it!

Still, I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to find a shelf SOMEWHERE next month… ;-)

Ack, I’m having a really hard time with blogger today… it hates me! I have the post made up and saved, but I can’t move my pictures into the right places. Grrr. So alas, I won’t be posting it as soon as I’d hoped. :( Boo! Hopefully it’ll cooperate tonight from home and I’ll post then. I’m so GIDDY with excitement to share it!!!!! :)

Your website has given me motivation to get my house organized. I am starting with this month’s challenge. I also organized my kitchen cabinets but don’t have before pictures to show though.

Yes, I did 4 things (and 4 posts). I’m insane like that. I didn’t find this blog until this month, so I’m trying to catch up. I did my filing cabinet too. Next month I’d like to tackle my recipes along with the shelf/surface. Woo, hoo!

This is my first time participating in the monthly round-up. I love focusing on one thing each month. It makes organizing simple and easy to complete. I usually try to take on too much at one time(Does anyone else do that? LOL)and then I feel like I accomplished nothing. Right now I feel really good because I completed one cabinet and I have started my next project (pantry re-organization).

I learned to take babysteps. When I cleared a shelf, I made a space to put everything that could stay cluttered for a bit – not the kitchen table ;) because I might not get back to it for a few days. I was surprised to learn the difference the right container made. A basket I used makes me want to leave the cupboard doors open. *hehe*
